could have been better. breakfast was awesome for 2 days then you offered microwave sandwich???? No way that is a hot breakfast..... YOU MUST IMPROVE IN THAT ISSUE FOR WhAT YOU CHARGE PER NIGHT!!!!!

If you want to try the renovation experience, then this is your place! First you will have to find the side door that leads you in to plywood hallway that ends at the elevator. Once their, take it to the 18th floor to check in at their makeshift hotel room lobby. (We only figured this out by walking around the entire building trying to figure out how to get in, only saved by a fellow guest who chased us down the block to tell us how to get into the hotel) We told staff that there needs to be signs or something and they assured us that there were, NOT! Rooms shown on website do not match what you get, and if you don’t like it, you will be told that you can go some place else. If you were expecting a nice lobby area to visit with friends, haha, jokes on you.

Great location, undergoing remodel, stay elsewhere till it is complete

Hotel is under major construction, while it wasn’t mentioned when I booked the room, check in is on the 18th floor. Only two elevators service the guest rooms so wait times can get long. Property is being changed to a Kimpton in the near future. Until remodel is complete, I would stay elsewhere

The hotel is currently being renovated. We booked and paid for a Studio with King Bed. We were given a newly renovated Hotel room (room 1811) which did not have the facilities of a Studio. We chose this property as we had stayed there before in 2016. There was no soap in the bathroom and some the other toiletries were lacking.i.e There was only a conditioner and a very small body lotion. There was no shampoo. I asked at reception which was luckily on the same floor for soap which was
provided. There was a layer of dust on the furniture which I wiped down. The bathroom floor looked like it needed a mop. There is no business centre or guest laundry any more. As were had been traveling for a few weeks we were relying on being able to wash our clothes in the Guest laundry which was stated on the website as being available. There was only one chair in the room and a stool at the end of the bed which could be used to put our bags on. We asked for another chair we were told they didn't have any spare ones. There was also no safe.
Fortunately we arrived on a Sunday and the Monday was a public holiday so we only had the noise from the renovations on the Tuesday and the Wednesday morning before we checked out. The breakfast was unimpressive and could be described as a Continental at best. The unappetizing Sausage Biscuits which were required to microwave does not make a hot breakfast. The cereal, toast, muffins and pancakes were ok. I would not book this hotel until the renovations are finished. The decor in the renovated rooms is very nice but it was not the room we paid for. The staff seem to be over the renos and tired of the complaints hence their unwillingness to help and disinterest. I don't blame the staff it is not their fault.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. And that has nothing to do with the fact it was under construction. Horrible guest services. Room was bare, missing simple things - coat hangers! Coffee maker! SOAP!

Should wait till hotel is ready to be opened

Not ready to take care of guests. No coffee service in room, no ice on floor, poor breakfast, cold, Electrical receptacles not hooked up. Poorly laid out room. Very difficult to get in and out of hotel. Try this property in 2 years!

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. And that has nothing to do with the fact it was under renovations. The temporary signage was horrible.

Some of the things that were wrong:

The room was newly redone, but not all the furniture was there, no lights were plugged in. Refrigerator was not plugged in. No clothes hangers, no Pillows! The room never cooled, no matter how low I set the thermostat. No soap! Even after 3 days...housekeeping never replaced the shampoo nor gave me soap! The breakfast Buffett, was confusing and unorganized.

I can go on...but I’m tired from dealing with it.

Until renovations are done...

Staybridge suites in New Orleans is being renovated to another name brand within the IHG family. It will be very nice I believe when it’s done but staying there now could be a challenge. They are doing their best to accommodate people, and I would still recommend the property as long as you are willing to deal with the construction.

Not what we expected

Let's start with the good. Janice was an incredible cook. She prepared wonderful meals for our evening social gatherings. The room we stayed in was one of the newly renovated ones. It has lots of space. I wish it had a microwave. They had no ice machines. We were told that the hotel had a gym for us to use on the 4th floor. We went to use it and was met with a construction crew. Our key card failed twice during our stay. They tried to tell us it was our fault each time. Our first night there another couple came into our room saying that they were just checked into our room. That was the first time our key card stopped working. They put both of us in the same room. We were there for a full week. During that week we had several doormen. There was one or two young fellows that didn't bother to look up from there phones let alone open the doors or great you as you came and went. Not sure that I will ever stay at this Staybridge again. I hope that there service gets better.

I should have known when they messed up my original reservation - 3 months in advance!

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. And that has nothing to do with the fact it was under renovations. The temporary signage was horrible.
