    Bad Front Desk Reception

    Bad customer service from the very beginning. President's weekend NIGHTMARE. We arrived a few hours ahead of our scheduled checkin time and were greeted by Erica and Stephanie. Erica, the rudest representative I've ever dealt with at a hotel, told us the rooms were not ready and to come back at 3pm. We went back at 3pm and were told to come back at 4pm. We went back at 4pm and were told the room was still not ready. We waited nearly 3 hours before our room become available. Our final checkin time was close to 7pm. We were told because of the holiday and the number of guest checking in and out there was an unavoidable delay. There was NO manager on duty, no one to speak with to vent frustrations, just one very confused, rude and aggressive representative dealing with a handful of angry customers waiting for their rooms. Between the time we waited, I asked if they could find us a room in a sister hotel since it was getting late and my kids were tired, cranky and hungry. We were told by Stephanie that we can go to another hotel but wait since it's a hassle to "walk" us to another hotel. In total 7 hours wasted, waiting for our room. Once we checked in, I asked Erica what discount would be offered since we had to wait for such a long time, her response, "I can't do anything for you, come back tomorrow morning at 8am" I went back to the front desk at 8am and was told the manager (Radhi) was not there yet. We went back at around 10am. I spoke with Radhi and the GM Damien, Radhi agreed to comp us one night and add an additional 25% discount on the other nights. Once we checked out, the discount were not applied properly and were told by rude Erica, "I can't do anything, the manager is not here, call in the morning". After another call and a couple of emails back and forth we were able to settle the bill once we got home.

    Because of our experience in this hotel, I will NEVER stay here or any other Staybridge Suites hotel. In my opinion, the front desk is the front line, the place where you set the tone for your guests, in this case, Staybridge Suites has a very very RUDE and AGGRESSIVE representative Erica, manning their front desk and providing the worst customer service imaginable. She threw her managers under the bus and her co-workers as well. She was not accountable for the mistakes and time we had to wait and made us feel it was our fault for getting there early even though we wait 3hours past the check in time stated on our reservation. My other concern is the lack of management available to help navigate such a mess. The workers were left to deal with upset guests and clearly were not able to use their best judgement and remain calm. Instead we, the guests, were met with aggression and frustrations the minute we stepped foot into the hotel.

    Again, the management in this location need to be better involved on the weekends. It very unacceptable and apparent that there is an overall lack of care for the guests and the money spent to stay at this hotel.

    I would like to also commend the kitchen staff, they were nice and helpful. The buffet was good but served on paper plates. The coffee available was pretty good and always filled.

    This hotel went beyond expectations for everything in every category. I can go on about it, but just know i will recommend this hotel (as i already did) to everyone i know, staying in that area. Food and staff was excellent and everything was comfortable.

    2 Night Stay

    When checking into the hotel we were greeted by the attendant and had a very confusing check in due to the way the reservations where made. I was going for two nights but we were going to Sahara Sam's Water Park on one day. The tickets and room rate are together and had to be purchased separately. So one night was just the room and the other was with the park passes. This created a confusion and I was not guaranteed the same room for both nights. I did wind up staying in the same room but had to call the next morning to make arrangements. During the check in they ran out of room keys and needed to find them. The girls did not really know where they were. There is a visitor board with some information on places to visit. When I asked the girl about the areas to visit they had no idea and said the manager does that in the morning. Half an hour later we got checked in and off to our room. The room I did like. It was a one bedroom suite and was very nice and comfortable. The kitchen is set very nice and you can pretty much cook anything. I really did enjoy the room.
    I would of loved to enjoy the pool but it was a busy week with kids so it was a little crowded and it is a little small. The excersise room is also very small but you do have a treadmill, elipticol and some weights.
    Breakfast is included and pretty good. It was the normal, Eggs, Bacon and Potatoes. Cerial, yogurt and fruits were also available and included.
    Keep in mind most restaurants close at 10pm for deliveries in the area so order early.
    Overall I liked the hotel and the look from the outside is very nice. I would probably stay there again.
