Hotel is in terrible condition (gross), with musty smell of mold that only increases from the lobby to the room itself. The rooms (I was moved), were dirty, old, and run down. Toilet seat had cigarette burn marks on it and the couches had stains on them. Tried to spend the least amount of time as possible while I was there because I felt dirty being there.

I picked this hotel because of it's closeness to local restaurants. The hotel and the room furniture/appliances could use some updating. However, the building was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Also, parking was free.

Things I loved: friendly staff, proximity to things, parking, breakfast included, hot water with lots of pressure, the room has a kitchen (stove/frig), beds were comfortable and looked clean.
Things that could be improved: front lobby smelled like trash 4 out of 5 days, didn't want to sit on the couch without putting a sheet over it (looked nasty), dead 1" roach in the hallway, no charging outlets for phones on the night stand, room was a bit beat, no sponge provided for washing dishes, double room description says it sleeps 6 but the 2 beds were maybe full size at most and hardly big enough for 2 people 100lb and 140lb, night stand light does not provide enough light to look at self in full length mirror, no ice makers available to customers (but staff were nice and gave us a bag), copy of bill never received via email (requested 2nd attempt and still waiting), loud humming coming from a locked closet in the bedroom.
While there were a few let downs, overall, the hotel location was ideal for us and we were able to sleep, shower, and feed ourselves.
The property appears neglected...

We’ve attended a yearly event in this area for many years and have consistently stayed at this property—mainly because of its convenient location and excellent breakfasts. I don’t enjoy leaving a critical review, but I hope this feedback will help improve the property.
The positives first: the location is ideal, the breakfast is excellent and varied, the beds and linens are comfortable, the towels are soft, and the bathrooms are perfectly fine.
However, there are several areas that need attention. Breakfast service would benefit from either adjusting the start time or allowing guests to access items as they become available, rather than making everyone wait until the set time. This past weekend, many guests were waiting, and when we asked about available items like cereal, the manager on duty rather curtly told us we had to wait. Additionally, the soda fountain and juice machines were out of order.
The property itself feels dark and dated, both in the lobby and the rooms. There are no ice machines—guests are expected to make ice in their in-room refrigerators—and electrical outlets in the rooms are limited. On weekends, there is no room service, which means beds go unmade and guests must go to the lobby for basics like towels and toilet paper. The sofa beds in the suites are essentially unusable. Finally, the parking lot is unnecessarily cluttered with concrete curbs, making entering and exiting spaces more difficult than it needs to be.
With some updates and adjustments, this property could easily match its excellent location and breakfast quality.
Mold and Mildew

The carpet by the air conditioner was wet. Water was cold, so suspect the condensate was leaking. Notified front desk. They offered no solution or apology. Furnishing in poor condition. Gave my guest a key to an occupied room that I had already checked into for them.

This hotel is very convenient to all of Chattanooga’s attractions and the convention center. Our family stayed here on a vacation. We were able to walk to many of the attractions in downtown Chattanooga. It was also very easy to come and go with almost no traffic using the back parking lot.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They happily provided everything we requested/needed.
The pool area was nice, but the hot tub did not function for our entire stay which was a bit disappointing.
We stayed in the two bedroom suite which accommodated our family of five very well. It was nice to have the small kitchen and living room area and the two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. An added bonus was the balcony with the view of Lookout Mountain.
The included breakfast was really nice each day. It saved us a ton of money and time.
Our main complaint was that our refrigerator did not cool at all. We notified management, and after several visits from maintenance, we told them that we would just manage with our ice chest. This was an unfortunate inconvenience, but we didn’t let it ruin our vacation. The other concern we had was the back doors leading to the parking lot from the lobby. They were unlocked all during our stay which allowed homeless people to come into the lobby and breakfast area. We think those doors should be locked and only accessible to guests using their hotel keycard. This seems to be a fairly simple fix.
Other than the few issues stated above, we have a nice stay here, and we definitely recommend it.

The hotel was conveniently located near the event venue, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, some guests held a loud celebration in the parking lot, which was disruptive. Additionally, the beds were outdated, and the pull-out bed needs replacement.
Cock Roches & Old Hard Ripped Beds

State a total of two nights wind up having to go to three different rooms. First room was a overpowering mildew smell that would not go away. Second room beds was so hard that it was so uncomfortable and the pull out bed really old, the mattress was ripped and the Springs was sticking out. When you said on it you said straight to the floor. Third room which wasn't offered until our last night about 9:00 at night, was infested with roaches literally crawling up the walls and all over the kitchen cabinets in sink and in the bathroom crawling beside the toilet paper wreck and there was roach poop all over the wall. While we was in our second room we asked housekeeping to change the trash and it never got changed and then when we said something about it they didn't even offer us bags so we can bag it up ourselves. I've been at IHG member for over 10 years and I have never stayed in a hotel this bad. From the look of it it looks really nice they've added new stuff and all the blankets and towels was new and white but they did nothing for the underlying problems. Problems being old furniture, old mattresses, cockroaches and mildew smells. I had two special needs people with me and a 3-year-old child and a 7 year old child. The manager was extremely nice and he did cut our bill in half but it was still such a bad stay.

Very happy with our stay! Plenty of space in the 2 bedroom suite, full kitchen, two private bathrooms, and our own balcony! It was conveniently located and gave us plenty of room to unwind!
The staff was amazing.

I travel to Chattanooga regularly for work and have been staying at the Staybridge as a "home away from home" since 2012. Sadly, since covid, the hotel has taken a turn for the worst. They were going to renovate but changed their minds and have now let the place fall into disrepair. However, I kept returning out of a sense of loyalty and familiarity. But recently management has changed and there's a whole new wave of staff. The familiar faces I considered part of my experience are no longer around and this saddens me. Finally, I am a government employee and as such have never had to provide more proof than the info on my credit card, but the last two stays have been bothersome in this regard and have had to get my invoice redone.

Wesley was very nice and courteous. That means a lot to me. I will stay here again when I'm in Chattanooga!!
