Before checking in I reserved 3 rooms on my debit card. I told them as I have at many different IHG properties that during check in each room will have a different card on file from each member of our party that checked into the their rooms. I just used mine to reserve the rooms as I have done many times before. They took $800 off my card at 1pm the day off and refused to take the hold off and remove my card. The front desk attendant said she wasn’t sure if it was me in my drivers license photo multiple times. I assure you she was not kidding. The refrigerator and ice maker in the freezer didn’t work and according to other reviews in the room we stayed in it hasn’t worked for months! They put out egg omelettes for breakfast with uncooked sausage in them. I am glad I opened one up and warned my husband who was about to bite into his. I have a picture of this omelette. The stove in our room did not work as well. The front desk attendant said she couldn’t find and they didn’t have any blankets for the pull out couches. She gave me a duvet cover and said it’s the same thing. I assure you it isn’t. Shame on IHG for allowing this staybridge to continue to operate under their brand. I have stayed in lots of staybridge hotels and lots of other IHG hotels and this location also said it was their policy to take out the entire amount of the stay. This is not stated anywhere in the paperwork or website.
Don't stay here if you want a good breakfast!

We have stayed here 3 times this year. To start off with, the rooms smell of mold. The carpets are dirty. The tiles are broken in the bathroom. Then lets talk about the breakfast, the breakfast is until 9:30am. Serveral times we have arrived around 8:45 to 9 am. The food is cold and low amount available. They state they won't make anymore because it is so close to the end of breakfast. The last time we stayed there 30 people came to eat after she said that she would not make more food. She finally did make more. One of the warmers (that don't keep the food warm) has a carboard lid covered with aluminum foil. The front desk for the most part is nice, but the breakfast staff is rude.

I was charged twice for my extended night stay, once for keeping the same room #309 and a second time for reserving the extra night on phone for room #143
No replies from the hotel management and IHG gives a run around with 24 to 48 hours service, count your fingers if they give you a handshake

we chose to stay outside of the city and was worth it to avoid city noise
Sleeping in the car would be a better experience

Called ahead to ensure there was a room available and it was ok for me to check in after midnight. Arrived to doors locked and no one at the front desk. Waited outside with my luggage knocking and calling. Finally was let in. The woman was not making sense. She told me there were no rooms available and that my reservation was for the next day despite me having a confirmation code and email stating otherwise. Finally got a room after 30min. Bed sheets had large black stains near the pillows. Didn’t think the person at the front desk would be able to comprehend anything I told her at this point so I put a towel down and decided to bring it to the person’s attention in the morning. When I tried to inform the person at the front desk in the morning about the issues the previous night I was met with a blank stare. When pressed further they just said they will let the manager know and to have a nice day. Horrible experience.

Short stay for me and my family as we were getting some renovations done to our home. The kids enjoyed the pool and wifi connecting was phenomenal

Only good thing was conveniently located for our needs. Room could use an upgrade,carpet torn in a few spots, curtain above A/C was torn badly and door latch coming off and bath room sink was clogged but I fixed myself. White dog hair on floor (part that had no carpet)Was mostly quiet area until next to last day. My wife likes to set by the pool and read but on Thursday there was some unruly kids jumping off ledge of hot-tub into pool and splashing everywhere. She did complain but nothing was done about it. Did forget personal item in room that I had hidden from housekeeping if the had entered during our time out so contacted hotel but was greeted with sarcasm and disrespect. Never received call from management abut concerns or to explain were item was. Only was meet with same answer " Housekeeping never found anything" Well it was hidden.

I have been choosing ihg hotels for about 10 years now. Ive always been greeted with a warm welcome and employees are always respectful. Ive mainly stayed at staybridges and they have always had a great breakfast with great selection. I will always recommend everybody i know to staying in an igh hotel. Also to all reading this review dont forget to sign up with their rewards as its nice to earn some free nights through earning points.

Nice place.. to much burning marijuana.
Clean up that I would definitely stay long and more often. People should know what they are getting into. If they don’t mind the smell I would give it higher marks. My only complaint

Even through i had some issues i will still choose this hotel to stay at once i made the complaint and provided the issues the front desk staff informed the supervisor so hopefully my next stay will be better

I visit here often and need a place to stay care for my mother in Independence. She is 97 and I live 3-4 hours away so go there often.
