From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome checking. The gentleman on reception explained everything clearly to us, and the whole process could not have been easier.

Lovely hotel, within walking distance of the quayside and central town. It would be too far, for the less able bodied. Clean room and very attentive staff. Great breakfast although very busy at 9.30am and the hotel had warned us of this.

My first time staying in a Stay bridge and also Newcastle, hotel is lovely and clean in general and has everything you may want to hand, including a small shop and free tea and coffee 24h , which was great. The room was huge and modern, great shower, Fridge, decent TV usb charging sockets ( fast ones) loads of little touches that set this chain apart from others, like the always on light in the bathroom and the ability to not have to have the extractor fan on if you did not need it, a caffietierre and ground coffee , full kitchen with decent stuff , Also a reclining couch !! Good lighting etc , All the staff were amazing throughout the two days stay and the breakfast was perfect, not so much stuff that you were unable to move after but a quality selection 5 stars for that. Only issue we had at all was more with getting to and from Newcastle on foot, which is more a Newcastle issue than a hotel issue as it's a bit of a minefield to navigate if you have never stayed there ( loads of aerial walkways, bridges and underpasses etc ) anyway, brilliant stay thanks again

Great hotel, really friendly staff. Comfortable bed and great kitchen facilities. It really had everything you need while you're away from home. Would definitely stay here again.

I always look forward to my visits to the Staybridge Hotel located very close to the wonderful Quayside area of the City.
Lisa and her team are the best I have come across in any of the many hotels I have stayed over the years and make you feel more than welcome from checking in to leaving.
Highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights.
The location is great for the Cluny and the centre is only about a 20 minute walk away.
We had a lovely welcome from Jason when we arrived and he also organised a taxi for us.
We found the staff really helpful and friendly.
There was a lot of choice for breakfast, which is great for vegetarians.
The room was comfortable, maintained and equipped with everything you should need for your stay.
We have already booked our next stay!

Been a Diamond Elite for 5 years now so I've seen a ton of IHG properties around the UK & USA.
I've been staying at Staybridge Newcastle literally since it opened back in 2009. Have stayed here hundreds of nights by now.
Have hosted 100+ business guests in the hotel too. They are mostly keynote speakers for TEDxNewcastle or the Thinking Digital Conference who also travel regularly around the country & internationally. We've even hosted Paul McCartney's former wife here. All have sung this hotel's praises! 👍
The very best hotel staff across the UK & USA in my experience. The only ones who have come close are the folks at the Intercontinental in Downtown LA but that hotel is a lot younger so we'll see if they stand the test of time.
Hotel is very well kept & super-tidy.
There are some minor things I would change in an ideal world but the positives totally outweigh these things.
If you can't tell yet Staybridge Newcastle gets my highest recommendation. It's probably 1 of 3 hotels worldwide where I'd go just to stay in the hotel! ❤️

On arrival it took a while but think we arrived as there was a shift change. When we were eventually checked in the chap with glasses on reception was brilliant. Quick process, generally very pleasant and informative. On the room it was mainly clean, ornaments a bit dusty in bathroom and a spotlight missing but aside from that decent. Sofa bed was a bit of a joke... had been made up but with very thin sheets and blanket no duvet. Fridge smelled a bit and was warm (had been switched off or down) but we didn't have much for it but milk for our toddler.
Breakfast was OK... lots of choice. My only criticism would be the layout of the meat behind the vegetarian food so people were passing dripping meat over the eggs beans and bacon. There was also two broken toasters (of the four slots only 2 worked in each)
Overall if you just want a good base for a nearby location or you have a family of 4/5 with young children it's fine. If you are looking for luxury look elsewhere... it just about scrapes the 4 star by UK standard

We stayed here again recently - again after 6 years.
It is still a great place to stay. We received a high quality welcome from all the team, particularly Ms Yenny. Everyone was friendly & helpful throughout our stay. We'll be back - sooner rather than later

Superb & friendly welcome upon arrival. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Spacious bathroom with excellent shower and hot water. Well placed plugs and mirrors. Excellent location and easily accessible. The staff at this hotel were all incredibly friendly, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again for business or leisure.
