Time for a refresh

My wife and I have had several long duration stays at this hotel over the past few years due to living abroad and returning home for extended visits. Generally, we have found the rooms comfortable, clean and the hotel is centrally located for our needs. During our recent stay, which included eight nights, and then two nights a week later, some new light was shed on this hotel. We noted that the hotel has turned into more of a construction worker sanctuary, to include their families. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not our thing. The staff still remained accommodating and pleasant.
During our recent stay we experienced several issues. The room had a broken thermostat, stuck on 65 degrees, and a shower that barely produced hot water. As well, the shower head barely produced a decent stream of water from the shower head. I contacted the desk and they had a technician repair the thermostat issue in a timely fashion. We had booked our usual king suite, but instead received an "accessible room" with a queen, maybe double bed. Honestly, we both had two terrible nights of sleep prior to returning to the UK. The room and furniture was definitely in need of a refresh, and the bed was too small. Sadly, when we looked at the final bill, the room was averaging $190 per night, which seemed to be high in comparison to past visits. Although we have enjoyed past stays, I believe we will pass on future ones to this facility.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the evening social and breakfast. The brats were grilled on-site. The salad was fresh and crispy. Plenty of extras to choose from. The breakfast fruit and melons were cut fresh, not poured from a store-bought bag. The hotel was clean, quiet and in a great location.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. However, there are only 2 elevators at this hotel and, the entire 2 weeks of our stay one was out of order. Two weeks and no attempt at repair. Also we lost power for about 6 hours one evening (no fault of hotel) and the lights in our hallway were out or flickering for the last 9 days of our stay. The hallway was very dark and 4 of the 10 lights were flickering (3 were out completely).

We had a great stay at the Staybridge!!! We were in town for the Brickfair lego convention and the Staybridge was perfect. It was near the expo center and was a very nice experience. The lobby was inviting and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful!! We will definitely stay here again when back in town.

Antonio gave extraordinary customer service. We had a glitch with our reservation (mostly my fault), and Antonio was helpful, supportive and cheerful. He did everything he could on his end, and when we reached out to IHG customer service, they were flexible and knowledgeable.

The quality of this hotel was a great value for your money. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The hotel was clean and smelt amazing. There was a pleasant aroma throughout the entire first floor. Check in was easy. Staff friendly. Rooms spacious and clean. Bed comfortable and kept clean. The bathroom was nice towels were new.

This hotel is top notch. It is everything I look for when booking a hotel. The grounds and rooms were impeccable, it was very clean and inviting. The staff provided very professional and friendly service, from the front desk to the breakfast attendant. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in quite a while. The ground keepers were hard at work making the property look its very best.

Great location and very clean spacious rooms. Staff was great. Many amenities we did not use, but there was a grill and laundry room. Pet friendly and nice breakfast included.
