Great place to stay if you are attending an event at the Maverick Center. Walking distance to venue. Wonderful customer service and nice clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

First IHG Experience in this Property - Not Ideal

I stayed at this Staybridge property last week and unfortunately had one of the most disruptive hotel experiences I’ve had. The first two nights were fine, but on the third night, the AC in my room failed. The front desk offered me a fan if I wanted to stay, but that wasn’t a reasonable option, so I agreed to move. This meant packing up all my belongings — including a whole bunch of items I had stored in the fridge — and making multiple trips back and forth. During the process, my room key stopped working, so I had to return to the desk for replacements.
The new room I was given faced the freeway and had weaker AC, which made it uncomfortable. I then requested another room not facing the freeway and had to move everything yet again, including the refrigerated items. In my original room (209), I also noticed the door lock was visibly misaligned, raising both functionality and security concerns.
On my last night, both of my keycards stopped working again — even though one had been kept in an RFID-protected wallet the entire stay. Once more I had to go back to the desk just to get into my room. That was the final straw. I had already booked another stay here for the following week, but I canceled it and rebooked at a Hilton property instead.
To be fair, the staff did issue me 30,000 points for the inconvenience, and I want to note that the breakfast fruit selection was better than many competitors. On some mornings they offered mango, strawberries, or blueberries, which was a nice touch and above what I typically see at similar extended-stay brands.
Unfortunately, the positives didn’t outweigh the repeated operational failures. The AC issue, multiple room moves, the hassle of moving food and belongings between fridges, faulty lock hardware, and recurring key card problems made the stay stressful. On top of that, I was told to call Guest Relations and IHG One Rewards about my concerns, but that turned out to be a waste of time. Neither could resolve my request, and all they did was add a token 1,000 points.
As a Hilton Diamond member, I had wanted to give IHG a fair try, especially since I travel internationally where IHG has strong coverage. However, this experience left me unwilling to risk another stay at this property. I hope management takes these issues seriously, particularly the door security in room 209, because the property has potential if consistency and maintenance are improved.

I love coming here because of the swimming pool. I have grandkids ages 1-13 and they are all able to play in the pool. The shallow end for the babies, and the slide for the big kids. Breakfast isn't too bad, and they have a good variety. Easy access to SLC as well!

Clean room, wonderful breakfast, hotel a bit dated. Change the box spring, bathroom door lock broken. The woman who checked us in was a real piece of work, I told her about the bathroom lock, nothing done. One look says it's broken, she abandoned her post. I saw her return with what appeared to be a shopping bag. I had to go down because the phone wasn't answered about he door lock. She said our card was declined, of course the CC company said untrue.

Fair hotel, decent breakfast included, great pool although everytime we’ve stayed here the front desk never has pool towels and the sign specifically says to get towels from front desk and to not use room towels.also has terrible parking and semi trucks park around back and wait for people to use the back door so they can sneak in and use facilities inside like the gym,toilets, and eat free breakfast. We’ve seen this happen during all 4 times we’ve stayed here, and they scared our kids when a grown man comes running at you while your trying to get in so he can get in before the door closes and locks

Love this place! Staff is very friendly and food is excellent! Young or old you Emil love this Staybridge! My son and I really enjoyed the night meals and the delicious breakfast! You will not regret staying her!

Staybridge hotels are always my favorite and go-to stays when I'm on business for work or leisure. No question this hotel was nice and clean and comfortable. The only issue was the service provided by the people working there who always seemed to be just mad to be there and hardly smiled or greeted you, unless you had a certain lighter skin tone. You can tell who was welcome and their targeted audience here. So for any future stays in Utah, I will not stay here but overall a great hotel just for comfort and cleanliness.

Stayed for a night passing through Salt Lake City. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. onsite laundry was free, selection for breakfast was good as well. All in all was a good stay.

Hotel is in a quiet area. The pool area is more like a small water park and great for families. Room was comfortable and clean.

Room 337 smells like an ashtray. It reeked of cigarette smoke especially in the bathroom and it got worse like it was coming in from the vent in the ceiling. The bathroom was also really warm, as was the entire room because the AC couldn't keep up. It faces the freeway and the noise from that kept me awake all night. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable but the worst part was the cigarette stench. The pictures of the hotel make it look like it's a nice place to stay but the room we got was terrible.
