Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Well Worn I found this HIE to be showing the wear of heavy usage - it's a good thing that it gets a lot of business but it doesn't seem the owners have reinvested to maintain the hotel. The staff was friendly enough but I did not feel they were always completely forthcoming regarding questions/issues raised. When checking in I was informed that all king bed rooms faced the expressway and was offered a different room which I turned down as the king bed was more important to me - it would have been nice to know of the noise issue prior to making a reservation as the hotel is very near the expressway. While I might consider giving this facility another chance if I hear it has been upgraded, I wouldn't recommend it to others until I experienced improvements myself. 21. April 2015

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Not up to my expectation for Holiday Inn Express Staff were friendly but exercised poor judgment when I asked for a room away from the noisy pool (it was after 10PM) and was put 3 doors down the hall from a meeting room holding a private party - equally as loud. Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Number of Issues I reserved two rooms for my mother’s funeral...when we arrived they gave my wife a room key which turned out to be the room with two beds versus the king...she wasn’t asked which room we wanted. Had to wait in a line to get the correct room for another 15 minutes. I mentioned my brother was going to be arriving late in that he was driving from FL and they guaranteed the room would be available and even put the key aside. I then called at 9:00 PM to confirm and was told that they would ensure the night shift was aware that he was coming. When he arrived (I was with him) at 11:30 PM we were told his room had been given away and he'd have to go to Middletown. I had to escalate to the GM who then gave us the room..took about 30 minutes. My brother and wife were both sick and just wanted a bed after a 24 hour drive. The next day I went to my room and the key didn’t work, I went to the desk, they re-keyed our card, went back upstairs and it still didn’t work. Another trip down, another line and we finally got in the room only to find out it was never cleaned. Went back downstairs for towels. 15. April 2015
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Reluctant winner This HIExpress is the best of the worst. This area has sparse accommodations; therefore I reluctantly have to stay here. The breakfast is OK. The pool is OK, it is getting run down over the past year or two. I wish it was as nice as a few years ago. I hope they clean up or renovate soon. 13. April 2015
