Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and attention to detail Arrived very late (early morning), and was offered a choice of rooms as I had stayed there many times previously. Staff attentive and supplied extra milk and coffee knowing I was working in the room the following day. Breakfast basic but totally adequate, clean, displayed well, hot and plenty of it. Room had a sink plug missing in the bathroom and was supplied the same morning. Also the heating didn't work, and was supplied an electric fire immediately upon arrival once I had phoned to reception. The staff are always welcoming and smile a lot - helps with the arrival process and always ask if there is anything else they can help with - like extra coffee and milk sachets for the room. Overall this is an excellent hotel for the price and location. February 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Clean Hotel My second time at this Holiday Inn Express. Cheerful helpful staff, good clean functional rooms and a great night's sleep. Really is just what is needed and at a good value price. The hotel is minutes from East Croydon Station with it's high frequency train service to London(It is Travelcard Zone 5) so great value if you are doing tourist things, or for meetings in Central London. Maybe the breakfast could offer a few more choices but overall I'm very satisfied and will be back. February 1, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality of Information given One of the two lifts was broken. The room smelt. The room temperature management didn't work. The bathroom was tatty and I was given very poor information about leaving my car outside to offload, thus receiving a parking ticket. The information provided for car parking options was poor and insufficient. January 24, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Value for money We were two people with one 4 year kid and stayed 8 nights. Overall happy with our stay particularly Breakfast buffet. I received some feedback Croydon might be little far from London center, however the frequent London trains and near by buses it takes only max. 20 minutes to Victoria or London Bridge. Croydon shopping area is quite busy area. There is nice cinema and all fastfood brands. The staff at our hotel were friendly and helpful. Some improvements: 1-The reception must be well trained (our case they have no idea about IHG membership compare to our other IHG stay they explained membership benifits). 2-Room 911 is infront of Housekeeping and every morning you can hear loud chatting sounds of the staff. 3-Hotel must have a shuttle atleast to provide pick and drop upto Croydon train station. 4- there is no exhaust in toilet or shower area just a duct pipe. It smells a lot after use particularly the signle/common door system. January 6, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good all over, bed too soft for me (fine with other family members) This was a good stay for our family, with perfectly adequate breakfast and convenient access to Fairfield Halls, the purpose of our visit. For me the stay was spoiled by the soft bed, which meant I slept poorly. This did not bother other members of the family, though. December 31, 2015
