Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Welcoming smile Had travelled for most of the day to reach the Holiday Inn Express and was very tired by the time l reached there in the late afternoon, was really pleased to see a welcoming smile as l walked through the door up to the check in counter, l was up in my room relaxing before no time. A little later l went down stairs to the bar and had a lovely meal, which was reasonably priced washed down by a glass or two of Wine and retired to my room ready for my the morning and my flight home to Australia, Breakfast was substantial, checking out was easy and painless evening staff had booked my taxi to T4 l left Holiday Inn refreshed and ready for my long journey home. Will certainly stay there again! 24. November 2014

Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Worst nights stay in a Holiday Inn due to lying reception staff I booked the hotel purely as an overnight stop and allowing me a better night sleep. (arriving late & leaving early). I arrived at the hotel at 11.45 pm to be greeted by a friendly receptionist who was quite polite and check in was fine. I finally got into my room which could not of been further from the reception if they tried, to find that I was in a room with single beds. My first thought was I had wrongly booked the room but no I had definitely booked a double bed, so I rang down to reception to be told that there was no double beds and I would have to sleep in single. After asking why I wasn't informed of this at check in and explaining as I am 6 ft 4 tall its pretty hard to sleep in a single bed he said he would see what he could do. Finally he rang back to say they had found a family room I could use, on returning to reception the same guy tried to make me feel guilty by informing me because I have the family room, they would have to cancel a family of four booking. On arrival in the room it was a family room but it was definitely not set up for a family unless the whole family was sleeping in one bed and using one set of towels( As I have 2 kids of my own I know how a room is setup) It was now approx 1AM so didn't have the will to complain any further but as a result of the service given I was unable to relax probably only managed two hours sleep the whole night. So the actual main reason I booked the hotel was a whole of time & money. I will probably look at using other hotel chains in the future because of this. I cannot understand firstly why I wasn't informed they didn't have the room I had booked at reception and secondly why the male receptionist felt the need to lie to try and make me feel guilty. 23. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and free wireless were very welcomed. Very quiet. Bathroom very clean and modern, with plenty of hot water. 21. November 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great stay Clean, modern, and comfortable room. Excellent bathroom facilities. Had a meal in the bar, in the evening, which was good. Pleased we had eaten there, instead of going out. As Excellent service from the waiter. Breakfast included in the price, in the morning. Only downside of stay, was the ten pound parking fee, we had to pay, for parking overnight. Despite being an IHG member. 20. November 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Excellent accommodation at a reasonable price This hotel is excellently located for an overnight stay, prior to an early flight, at a very reasonable price. We can't comment on the breakfast as we left too early. We left our car in the hotel car park for 4 nights and felt very comfortable with doing that. Our only disappointment was our meal at Tratts - upon ordering a starter and a main course - the main course arrived first (!) but it was hastenly taken back to the kitchen (it was assumed we wanted it altogether!). We enjoyed our starters and then had a Diablo Pizza which absolutely blew our heads off - we have had Diablo Pizza recently in Venice and Sorrento, they were tasty and spicy but not SO incredibly hot we could hardly eat them - in fact we didn't eat them. The accommodation was brilliant, very clean and well worth the money and the hotel staff were very very helpful. 20. November 2014
