The rooms are small. The bathrooms are super small and the elevators are super small. You cannot fit more than 5 people into an elevator at one time. The rooms are worn .... haul ways are hot most of the time. The room air conditioner was not working properly (seemed to have a short in it) They sent up the repair man and he looked at it and propped up the plastic piece that they installed to keep the curtain out of the vent , he propped it up with two plastic cups. The room seemed to finally cool down to around 70 degrees on the last night. The breakfast was a little strange. Small place to serve breakfast. No microwave to heat anything. The cinnamon rolls in which The Holiday Inn Express is known for were not hot on any day. On the last day they only offered Sausage in the "hot" option. WE left and went to a diner down the street. The front desk attendant did give us a coupon for the diner. The food at the diner was not good at all and it was heavily over priced. I was really disappointed in this HIE. We usually love staying at these locations. And check before hand the parking was Valet only and it was $25.00 per day.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tino87 Great Stay!
Stay was friendly, valet worked quickly to get vehicles checked in/out despite large crowd. quick check-in. Breakfast was a nice bonus in the morning. Room was smaller than anticipated and the A/C unit had a plastic shroud blocking airflow (not sure what purpose this served but it was intentionally installed).
Overall a great stay and an excellent location!

Located at the heart of midtown . Getting around is easy .
Rested well during my stay .
No complaints about anything during the course of my stay.
Checking in and out was extremely easy.
Initially booked for 3 nights but had to cancel 1 night because of flight delay . Room was available but the rates went high for 2 nights , not sure why room price should be hiked.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NotHappyG Heads up, you have to pay for parking
Did not appreciate how the hotel, when booking, did not mention the additional cost for "valet" parking. So, if you book here don't forget to add an additional $25 to your bill! Seemed a bit sneaky, not to be upfront about parking. Maybe should just start including in the booking rate.
Seemed like an old hotel that they tried to desparately renovate. I would recommend choosing the Holiday Inn off of Centinnel instead of this place! Very disappointed.

Beds are comfortable, hotel is quiet, and breakfast had a variety of food choices.
Front desk staff extremely helpful. Provided directions to my conference location and local restaurants.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Business Member Holiday Inn Express Cone Street Downtown Atlanta, GA
Avoid this Holiday Inn Express --- Bad customer service - Rude Desk Manager and General Manager - Will not honor the room you are book for even though you are a platinium member and have the room book for over 6 months. Beds are literally 8 inches from the wall in some rooms - Wires are exposed - Curtains will not close for about 12" of the window. We always stay at Holiday Inn, but, have never had the problems we have had at this one. PLEASE reconsider before booking. They tell you one thing and even put it on the reservation - and then do as they please in giving you the room they want - not the one you booked. IHG can do nothing on this because it is on paper as the type of room you booked. Bad choice if you choose this Holiday Inn Express Cone Street - downtown Atlanta.
