Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Much to be Desired Usually I love staying at a Holiday Inn Express. The clean rooms and complimentary hot breakfast at an affordable price are great for me. However, this hotel did not live up to such standards as I have come to expect. On my first night here there was an issue with the toilet and someone from the front desk came up to have a look at it. As it turns out, the toilet wasn't broken, just not working the way it should. One might think that would be a good reason to move a guest to a room with a fully functioning toilet, however no move was made by the desk agent to do so. I asked to be moved and finally was taken to another room. When I stepped off the elevator to my new room I was overwhelmed by the smell of smoke permeating the entire third floor. Not only that, other guests on the floor were very loud. I should mention it was 2am at this point. To say I did not sleep well would be a vast understatement. As if that weren't enough, I was awakened earlier than planned by the housekeeping staff knocking on the door at 8:30am. I was under the impression the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door meant just that. Apparently not here. Clearly they didn't get the message because a few hours later the housekeeping woman called the phone in the room asking when I would be out to clean the room. I felt this was rude and excessive. I would like to report that my stay improved from there, but I was bothered every day by the housekeeping staff before 10am. One morning while I was at breakfast, my bed was stripped, but not remade by the time I got back. In the hotel's defense, they thought I was checking out that day, but why are you in my room stripping the bed two hours before checkout? Why are you knocking on the doors before check out any day, for that matter? I'm not an early riser so I don't get down to breakfast when the food is freshest, so for that I will not fault the hotel. However, every morning that I went to breakfast, the staff was waiting in the breakfast room socializing and waiting to clean up the breakfast food. I, for one, don't think that is appropriate. Breakfast should be a time to relax and greet the day, not hear the gossip of the hotel staff. The room was clean enough. The bathroom was a little small, but serviceable. The bed was harder than I would like, but that is a matter of taste. Wifi worked with no problems and the free on-demand on the TV was a very nice quality. April 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Enttaeuscht ueber das Hotel Leider kann ich diese Hotel nicht hervorragend werten, denn fuer den Preis von ueber 100 Dollar haette ich viel mehr erwartet. Und das im Vergleich zu vielen Hotels die ich besuche. Das Fruehstuecksbuefett war am meisten ernuechternd, denn es gibt nichts schlimmeres als Kaffee aus einem Styroporbecher drinken zu muessen und plastic messer und Gabel zu benutzen die schon beim hinsehen zerbrechen. DEr LIft und die Teppiche sind so alt und in einem sehr depressiven zustand und leider war das der eindruck meines Aufenthalts. April 6, 2016
