Built in 1893, this 37-room mansion was home to the John A. and Margaret Thatcher family and was named for Mrs. Thatcher's favorite flower. It remained a family residence for 75 years. Designed by noted New York architect Henry Hudson Holly and two years under construction, the mansion was completed in 1893. Nearly all furnishings, accessories, decorative arts, paintings, custom woodwork, wall and window treatments are original to the home. Guided tours begin on the half hour throughout the day,

The forest contains 19 of the state's 53 fourteeners, peaks over 14,000 feet (4,267 m) high, including Mount Elbert, the highest point in Colorado.

Spanning two hangars, over 85,000 square feet and nearly a hundred years of military and aviation history, there is something for everyone at PWAM. The aircraft museum is not just about planes! Since its founding, PHAS has received thousands of artifacts from supporters who aided us in preserving military air history.
