Great little getaway

We just wanted to get away from everyday stuff with our fur babies, without a long drive. We are happy we came across this Holiday Day Inn Express in Sturgis. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The person handling the breakfast area was exceptional, always being sure things were well stocked. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection. If the coffee ran out, they were right on it to get the coffee replaced. Our main goal was a place to just relax, and we got it! We will be keeping this Holiday Inn on our places to revisit!

There are literally hundreds of hotels I could choose to stay on my 10 hour drive to see our kids. But I know there are very nice people that work at this specific hotel. There’s something comforting about that. And they are the reason why I keep coming back.

The first thing we noticed when we walked through the door was the entire place was torn apart for renovation. Check-in was fine, and we got to our room without issue.
Once inside, we noticed that the floor was wet, not damp, it was wet. We told the front desk and they said that it probably just didn't dry because they washed the rug. We grabbed towels from the pool to lay on the floor. When we picked them up to move them, they were absolutely filthy, which means that water was not from cleaning the rug. This was mentioned to the maintenance manager the next morning, and they came and checked it out. They said they would take care of us. Nothing was ever done. NOTHING.
Also, all night long we heard the neighbors TV.....All night.
In the morning, the place was back in order for breakfast.
This is not a budget hotel!!! this was a huge disappointment.

Perfect stay

We arrived on Thanksgiving and Jamie at the front desk was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable and we even had a full fridge. The kids loved the bunk beds and bean bag chairs. Breakfast was hot and check in and check out was super easy.

Michigan holiday inn was very nice and accommodating. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and nice and welcoming to my mom, my kids and I. She was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the staff all there were very nice. I throughly enjoyed staying here. I felt welcomed and like I was family. This holiday inn has got my 2 thumbs up. Thank you for everything.

Excellent service by Jaimie. She was professional and welcomed and stated anything we need just ask. She was very helpful with our requests.
She made our stay a wonderful experience.
Hotel was very clean, beds comfy, amenities plentiful, lots of parking, nice airy and bright breakfast area with many choices. Always filled and hot choices.

We made a last minute decision to take a quick trip. We had no problem getting a room. The hotel was very clean. We were there on Halliween and it was fun to see the hotel employees dressed up. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I thought the hotel was exceedingly clean...and I'M very, VERY OCD-type picky. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I thought the general hotel atmosphere was bright & fresh.
Also, I generally don't eat the breakfast at hotels, but ran down at 9:55a to grab a muffin and some bacon. There was plenty of FRESH food still (w/ 5 mins left for brkfst) and it was SUPER CLEAN- 2 things that are rare for hotel feeding frenzy time. The lady even came out to ask if there was anything she could get me! Also, the bacon was REALLY tasty- again, something I think that is exceedingly rare at hotels.

I didn't use the pool- but the area looked really clean & nice. The elevator could use some general cleaning maintenance- but I think that's just the equipment, not a staff cleaning issue.

Anyway ️️️️️s for you, Holiday Inn Express (Howe, IN/Sturgis). I hope you at corporate know how GOOD your people are there!! I'll definitely be back.
