Staff was not friendly or helpful. Coffee lobby was not working asked when it would be avaibale and told keep checking back.

We visited New York on a budget. The hotel was in a convenient location within walking distance to all the attractions. The one con we had was we wanted breakfast and lunch at a cheaper price. The hotel offered continental breakfast, which was great, but we wanted to have frozen lunches and was relying on a refrigerator in the room. The hotel did not offer this so we had to make constant runs to Target, which was less than a half a mile away from the hotel and the hotel, let us use their microwave in the main lobby. Overall had a great experience with this hotel and would recommend it.

The location was great, easy to find and close enough to walk. There’s 2 elevators but one was shut down by the city so only 1 working elevator for 11 floors. Lots of waiting for that and we usually took the stairs going down. Room phone didn’t work. Bathroom fan didn’t work. Bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. Bed was comfortable enough and the AC worked well.
Has seen better days.

I've been staying at this property for 20 years, and I can see the gradual? decline in condition and staff. It needs a makeover. Windows don't lock, Shower seems old. Only 2 elevators. (and one was down for the entire busy weekend I was there). Front desk (at check-out) needs coaching to say "thank you" and/or "how was your stay?"

The whole hotel reeked of sewage, one of the elevators was out for my entire stay, and the staff was encouraging patrons to over occupy the other elevator. There were tons of bugs in my room and I was on the 9th floor. there were also a ton of bug at breakfast.
also, and this is a mild thing, I am platinum and I did not receive bonus points at checkin, I would recommend staying anywhere else in the area.

My family and I have stayed at this property before. We loved the central location. Lots of transport choices or close enough to walk. Hotel room clean, tidy and comfortable. Great water pressure for the shower ( we were on 12th floor) and little street noise. The inclusive breakfast was lovely. Sadly just a few options for a family member who requires gluten free food. But we managed. Would stay again.

The hotel has a good location, developed rail transportation, and it is very convenient to various scenic spots. The hotel staff is friendly, with a good breakfast and 24-hour free coffee. The only deficiency is that the space in the room is limited and the sound insulation is not very good.
In a word, if I come to New York next time, I will choose this hotel again.

This wasn't my first stay at this hotelת in fact, my previous visits were generally good, which is why I chose to come back. Unfortunately, this recent experience was disappointing.
The air conditioning in my room didn't work, and despite multiple requests at the front desk, and repeated promises that a technician would come to fix it, nothing was done.
Another issue is the elevators: there are only two, and they are extremely slow. If you’re staying on a high floor like I was (11th floor), be prepared for a 10-minute journey just to get to the lobby.
As for the complimentary breakfast, while I appreciate that it's free, it was simply not practical to attend. It was extremely overcrowded, there was no place to even stand comfortably, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic and unpleasant.
That said, the hotel does have a couple of strong points — its excellent location and reasonable pricing.
I hope the hotel will address some of these issues, because it does have a lot of potential.

Check in was quick and the staff member was welcoming. Quick walk to Madison Square Garden. .The room was small but clean and quiet. Breakfast was very crowded. I commend the breakfast staff, I just saw one woman and she was running to keep up. When it is warmer, guest will be able to sit outside. I would definitely stay there again.

Great lil hotel very convenient to the garden and Penn Station. Staff was cool but housekeeping did walk in my room mins after I checked without asking. Rooms are small but cute.
