Room was clean. But lobby area, including elevator, was very dirty.
Fitness room was not usable.
Small market at check in was nearly empty.
There was no, and I mean no bottled water for purchase. Would never stay at this location again.

One Employee at location at mentioned within 3 weeks he's had to deal with 50 problems of the hotel. That says a lot. The king room suite is large and spacious but the elevator malfunctioned the 2nd day of being there. No where did the common used spaces have a note to say anything was sanitized or if the bed sheets were fresh.

Don't Stay here the owners don't care!

This hotel is a complete disaster and it has major safety concerns to the customers.

The first floor smells like marijuana.

Apparently, cars have been being broken into and the hotel doesn’t seem to care. They have not cleaned up any of the broken glass; so customers cars are parking on broken glass. They are having to buzz people in to the facility.

When I got into my room, there or wires hanging out of cabinets and underneath the TV. The TV was so small and was almost not even usable.

AC didn’t work properly (it never got cold).

For the amount I paid for the room I am very dissatisfied.

Upon checking out, I wasn’t even able to get a printed receipt because the facility that doesn’t have paper anymore.

I have stayed in this hotel probably 8 to 10 times over the last 8 years and I am a Diamond Elite Member for 18 years. I WILL NO LONGER STAY HERE!
IHG corporate you need to do better. You need to make sure that your hotels are in compliance with your stated regulations and what your customers expect.

The room had several defects: the safe did not work, the air conditioning was noisy, the bathtub had an unfinished part under repair, the toilet had a permanent leak and the main door did not close properly.
Breakfast offered no variety in their food and was very scarce. Overall a bad brand hotel.

This is an unacceptable hotel. When we got to our room it smelled of mold. The TV didn’t work and the front desk attendant couldn’t help us. The bathroom had many issues such as stains in the tub, the ceiling, and someone left their deodorant in the shower. The hair dryer was not there due to the hook on the back of the door had been ripped off. We were very uncomfortable and felt unsafe staying here. The walls in the hallway were also cracked and stained.

If you need to sleep during your stay, do not book here. Doors were slammed extremely loud at all hours of the night, so loud it was scary. Have to believe it is staff, you can hear the extremely loud slams coming from different rooms/floors.
We were told it's because they're heavy "fire code" doors.
I'm sorry I've stayed at many, many hotels that I would assume all have "fire code" doors and have never been an issue ever before.
Wasn't the cleanlinest either and pretty sketchy area - witnessed a robbery at gas station next door.

Requested ADA Compliant room.

Did not meet expectations at all. Paid for ADA room but did not receive one. Got a regular room next to a noisy laundry room.

My family and I were booked for 3 nights. This is our story. 1.) Upon entering the hotel, there was an odor that smelled like a bottle of tequila had been spilled and not bothered to be cleaned up. 2.) When we checked in, we were told that the back doors were the closest to the elevator, so we parked by these doors, unloaded all of our luggage and got our hands full just to find a sign on said door that it was out of order… so we walked all the way around to the front of the hotel (everything in tow), told the front desk worker about the door and they had no idea it was broken (unacceptable imo). 3.) Upon entering our room even more nightmares became apparent. There were holes in the wall, massive water spots in the ceiling, the bathtub was falling apart, there were exposed wires in the “suite” room (no over head lighting btw, just one desk lamp). The TV didn’t work (no channels period, cable or otherwise and the chrome cast wouldn’t connect). 4.) The breakfast was what you expect at a HIE, however, the individual working the breakfast was to consumed with their phone to clean anything. The counters were filthy and I stead of cleaning them they sat in the breakfast area and sat on their phone.
The hallways, doors, walls and elevator were all beaten up. The luggage cart was STICKY no matter where you touched it (How does this happen?) The ice machine was FILTHY!!!

Needless to say we only stayed the 1 night and left early. I travelled for years for work and HIE was my go to chain. They (not all) have seemed to go downhill in recent years. They aren’t what they used to be.
Hopefully this helps someone in their hotel decision making for their trip to San Antonio and hopefully the right people from the hotel see not just this review but the more recent ones as well and take action. No room rate is worth what was offered here.
