Few hotels can pull off a complete reinvasion without effecting the guests. This hotel not only did it but made the experience pleasant. Sarah at the front desk was a god send. I could not have asked for more.

Should have been told at booking about the renovation that was happening.
Keys only worked one time and had to have front desk come up to unlock door.
Fire alarm at 5:00 am that was a false alarm and banging at 7 am due to renovation.
Breakfast was “to go”. No seating area, no juice, cereal is not grab and go. Coffee ran out but noting brewed to replace it.
Staff seemed upset that we were tired and not very happy because as they were having to live with the renovation everyday too.
I used reward points for this stay and it was very upsetting to waste my points. I was told they were going to add bonus points back but haven’t seen evidence of that. Very very disappointed.

I stopped by here while traveling to customer. They was in the middle of heavy construction. I expressed concerns because the contractors left a mess and I was worried that someone would trip on all the stuff the contractors left in the way to get to the elevator. The staff was very responsive. It is a nice hotel and the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good too. Once the construction is done the hotel will be beautiful! I would definitely stay here again! Impeccable service and staff!

I was not impressed with this hotel. While the rooms have been renovated, they were not well done. Leaking faucet, doors do not seal, locks kept failing and after three new cards the front desk had to use their master key to let us in room on last day of stay...not very welcoming either.
Would have been higher review except for one deal-breaker

I've stayed here multiple times over the years to visit my brother who's in a home in Napoleon. I appreciate this property because it is relatively lower-priced and allows dogs. I stayed in a newly remodeled room, which was very nice, and understand that there is a lot of construction going on.
That said, there were a couple of problems that I would not expect with a newly remodeled room (#315): the shower drain was too slow to keep up with the shower volume, and the bathroom sink stopper did not work at all. Also, the couch had not been vacuumed to remove some dog hair. There was no one at the front desk when I checked out to report these to, and no bell to ring for service.
But the real deal-breaker is that there is a loud, obnoxious fan that is constantly running behind the bathroom vent. This is in addition to the "normal" fan that is controlled by a switch on the wall. It sounds like you are standing next to a wind tunnel. It is so loud that closing the bathroom door does little to attenuate it. I asked about this at the front desk at one point, but the person there did not have any idea what it could be.
I don't know if this is something temporary that is related to the construction, but I cannot believe that rooms would be designed with a noise like this (we met other guests who reported the same issue in their rooms). My wife would not have slept at all if she hadn't happened to bring ear plugs with her. I would not stay here again unless I was desperate because of this.
I would have given this at least four stars all around had it not been for this roaring fan noise. IHG, if all of your remodeled hotels are designed like this, I will no longer be staying with you!

Bed was comfortable.shower was nice the room was warm...the jaqusi tub didn't work.they gave me a discount for that all n all I will not stay in Wauseon Ohio holiday exspress again

Very clean & comfortable. Quiet rooms. They still offer the rubber eggs & greasy pork jerky for breakfast. Still not bad if your traveling and need a place you can depend on.

The hotel was undergoing renovations but we stayed on a floor that was already done. Very clean, super nice. Still allowed pets. Staff at check in was very nice. Typical breakfast. Great location right off the interstate. Decent rate for a last minute booking.
No-show - charge for the compelte stay?

I was charged for the complete stay.. the reason that the manager gave me is that due the hotel was fully booked they charged me for the whole stay.

Uwielbiałem tę wizytę. Wszyscy byli mili i serdeczni. Hotel był czysty i chociaż obecnie jest w rekonstrukcji, nie było zbyt głośno. Personel jest przyjazny i pomocny i chciał się upewnić, że nie będziemy odczuwać niedogodności, a my nie! Naprawdę podobał nam się nasz pobyt!
