We had an amazing stay - the room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed, staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the food was delicious. Thank you!

This hotel is very well designed, comfortable and friendly. It’s also dog friendly and conveniently situated. The food was of a high standard and everything was very clean.

Not a great stay. I turned up after a long drive on Sunday night and after taking my name couldn’t find my reservation, then was told I was a no show for the day before even though I also had a reservation for the following day. The nice receptionist did find me a room for that night but it was a twin room not a king bed which I booked. When I came down the next morning I was told I was being charged for the no show. I checked all my booking emails and found I never made a booking for the Saturday before just Sunday and Monday. So I challenged this with the receptionist who checked her computer then went back to her Manger who never once came out to speak to me and because they don’t know who was at fault they had refunded me, then the receptionist told me they had a computer outage and that’s probably the cause of the billing being messed up. Not once was I apologised too or tried to change my room to what I had originally booked. Considering I’m a platinum elite and always tried to book with IHG chain if this is how they treat there loyal regular customers maybe I should look elsewhere were. Only positive I can say about this hotel is the staff very friendly, from the receptionist and the bar staff and breakfast staff all very friendly and nice.

Very friendly & welcoming check. The room's A/C was heat only, no cooling. There was a pedestal fan provided but needed an open window as well, however the room was right next to busy & noisy A30 road. However the best and most powerful hotel shower in a long time. Bar staff very friendly but had to wait over an hour for the food I ordered. The cooked breakfast items were cold despite arriving within 15 minutes of opening. The breakfast manager seemed as thought he did not care and spent most of his time away from the service area in what appeared to be gossiping with other staff.

This hotel was very reasonably priced and was excellent value in respect of comfort, amenities and location. Will certainly use it again and would recommend to anyone, families and single travelers. Staff were a credit to the hotel

If you're going to claim carbon neutrality, then you need to be more transparent with verified, easily accessible information about how that was reached and critically, is maintained. A few paragraphs on your website and on the TV info isn't enough. It makes good intentions gimmicky.
As for the hotel, it's a decent space, clean, quiet and with good practical working/meeting spaces for the evening after work. Breakfast is good, and there are plenty of running routes nearby.
Bring a pillow. These are far too big and far too deep. You'll find breathing a difficulty!

Well appointed rooms, polite staff and a great breakfast. Comfy beds with a decent TV with streaming services. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate.

Not happening again.i was dissatisfied with the staff and nothing was provided in the room apart from beds, baby cot was just like a bouncy castle. We couldn’t use that facility provided for was.unnecessary
