Was really impressed with this fairly new addition to the IHG offering in Leicester. Overall staff friendly and welcoming modern hotel and welcoming and IHG status recognised.
Received a very warm welcome from reception team and guided to alternative car options, a short distance away, as the small onsite undercroft car parking was fully booked. However the hotel drop off design allowed me to park the car outside for a short period, efficiently checking in without any stress of traffic wardens, security or ANPR cameras.
Hotel adjacent to the Leicester Tigers Rugby stadium and short distance from the King Power football stadium.
Checked in and allocated a lovely room with views over small park.
Bedroom was spacious and Bathroom was good with nice shower.
Voco had a good vibe and reminded me of the similarly modern Voco in Edinburgh. Good public areas on the first floor.
Decided to eat in hotel which was friendly, quick and reasonably priced.
Good nights sleep and lovely relaxed breakfast with good alternative menu options. Breakfast staff helpful and busy service dealt with efficiently.
Extended my checkout without any issue with the helpful reception team and had an explore of the City Centre and Richard III museum and Cathedral. The City centre is 10-15 mins away however all good for the step count.
Hotel at lunchtime had a nice area to watch midday football on the big screen.
Good check out by once again friendly and engaging staff. Overall a lovely 1 night stay.
Just a shame about the football result!

Great Front Desk, But Let Down by Poor Location and Housekeeping

We recently stayed at voco Hotels Leicester and had mixed feelings about the experience. The front desk staff were absolutely outstanding — easily the best we've encountered at any IHG hotel in Europe. Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
Unfortunately, the rest of the stay didn’t live up to that high standard. The location is less convenient than advertised. It’s next to a sports court and not particularly close to Leicester’s city centre, shopping areas, or the train station — a bit of a walk if you’re planning to explore the city.
The most disappointing part was the housekeeping. Our room's cup hadn’t been cleaned, and during our two-night stay, the cleaners only emptied the trash. The table wasn’t wiped, and nothing was refreshed, which made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before we arrived.
Overall, while the voco Leicester benefits from an excellent front desk team, the inconvenient location and poor housekeeping completely overshadow their efforts. Personally, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel, with friendly staff. Rooms were great with comfortable beds and pillows and great shower/bathroom.
Only downside would be lack/limited/price of parking at hotel and no specified or marked drop off outside the hotel. Other car park was 5-10 minutes walk away which is reasonable but may cause issues if it is raining

The hotel staff are exceptional, always friendly and helpful. Parking is available with generous spaces for larger vehicles like mine. Good breakfast and evening meal. Highly recommend the Vocco.

Hotel 10 out of 10. The match too! Great location. Staff and other guests friendly & welcoming. Lovely bar area and seating for the TV screen. A busy and relaxing weekend.
Reasonably priced too.

Travelling Football Fan this Hotel is ideally placed for Leicester city Football and even more for Rugby fans (next Door). The place is clean with helpful friendly staff, and once you learn how to negotiate the lift system from Reception upwards easy to get around, The Breakfast was excellent and the bed very comfortable.. Just what you need for a good nights rest and a fine start to the following day. Definitely recommend a stay here.

We booked this hotel as we were visiting family who are at Uni in Leicester. We booked an accessible room & parking. Separate charge for parking. They have 2 EV Charger pods, the instructions supplied are incorrect. Get a staff member to help you. We did and the manager should be contacting the supplier to remedy the issue. You can't book a charger space though.
Staff are cheerful & helpful for the most part. There are 2 lifts to access the bedrooms, your room key accesses the lifts.
For an accessible room the bed is a bit high, unless you are very strong or ambulatory I'd be surprised if you can climb in. 2 v fat pillows supplied but only 1 hand towel per room! Breakfast is good quality & decent array of choices. Waiting staff are only there for special orders & clearing tables, cleaning & laying up. Our server, sadly was a bit inefficient with the cleaning. When busy it's loud and lots of queuing waiting for your turn as everything is self service. It's ideally located as is next door to the Tigers ground & should you have an emergency the hospital. Close to de Montfort Uni housing & campus.
