Very impressed with the whole atmosphere. No stuffy smell at all. Very clean in front lobby, breakfast area, room, bathroom. Cold AC. Great water pressure in the shower and LOVED the complimentary DOVE hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner.

Reservei este lugar pelo meu login no IHG, nunca tendo feito uma estadia em um hotel avid. O que posso dizer é que estou decepcionado . Em primeiro lugar, o check-in não foi muito bom. o agente quase não foi amigável, exigindo minha identidade. Em seguida, ele deslizou um papel dizendo "preencha as vagas destacadas", em parte um reconhecimento de que eles cobrariam um "depósito de segurança" do meu cartão de crédito70 , e por qualquer "incidentals" (refrigerantes, salgadinhos e barras de chocolate!). Sou associado do IHG One Rewards e nunca precisei depositar um depósito de segurança. Tenho um cartão de crédito registrado e um perfil completo no ihg.
Agora, para o quarto, ele estava limpo e os móveis limitados (prateleiras laminadas presas às paredes) estavam em boa forma. Mas o quarto era pequeno, mal tinha quarto para dar a volta na cama. Sem micro-ondas e o frigobar é melhor descrito como pequeno e estava em um armário no nível do chão e não era seguro
Tem uma tendência a escorregar ao abrir ou fechar
O café da manhã era insuficiente - algo cozido que eles disseram que eram ovos, linguiça fina hambúrgueres, uma ªbatata. Havia alguns cereais e algumas frutas. E uns muffins gelados. Optamos por abrir mão disso e ir a um restaurante para comer comida de verdade.
Ficamos satisfeitos com outros hotéis do IHG, mas, nem é preciso dizer que não usaremos este novamente.

I stayed in Room 107, which I later learned was missing the shower door which was replaced with a shower curtain that did not keep the water in the shower pan. The entire bathroom floor flooded every time we showered. We had to use all of the towels in the room to mop up the mess. EVERY TIME. I paid premium rates for the room and decided to stay at an IHG hotel because I am a platinum elite member. I usually stay at Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton properties. I would be hard pressed to stay here again.
BEST STAFF AND CLEANEST HOTEL

My husband spotted this hotel on a previous trip in Tuscaloosa, where we stayed at another property. This time we chose to stay at the Avid from now on I will only stay at the Avid brand! This hotel by far was the BEST STAFF and CLEANEST I have ever stayed in! FROM THE FRONT DESK, HOUSEKEEPING, BREAKFAST WORKERS AND GROUND MAINTENANCE WORKERS the hotel was meticulously clean and fresh smelling! This property by far is the best in the area. I will be returning later on in the month and this is my first pick!

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but because of where it is located and how dangerous it was to go in and out of where it was located kept me from doing that. Very poor judgment on whoever thought putting the entrance to the hotel right at the same location of where you took the ramp to get onto 20. We were almost rear ended a few times because people thought we had our turn signal on to get onto 20 but then we almost have to stop to turn into the parking lot of the 3 hotels there which caused people to slam on their brakes to keep from hitting us. Other than that the hotel was very nice and clean.

Fairly newer build hotel close to University of Alabama with ample shopping and restaurants around. Main downside is you can hear the interstate traffic. Unless you are a very light sleeper you should be fine.
