This was NOT a good stay. I'm a platinum elite member and travel and stay with IHG hotels often. I was supposes to have a room with 2 beds but was given a room with one bed. The hotel front desk receptionist were not especially friendly or helpful and the cleanliness of the room and hotel was not up to par with many other IHG Hotels. I was very disappointed n the overall hotel and lack of service and care for its customers. I would highly recommend to stay away from this hotel. I would rank it 1 out of 10. Disappointed!

It's a great hotel you can find in the mid town

The front desk is super nice, and the facilities in Rome are fantastic. I love the lighting system; you can change it to the color you like. The location is the best, very close to the subway station and even the railway station.

Great stay at EVEN Hotels Times Sq South for MSG concert with family. Rooms were nice, and everyone was super friendly. Special thanks to Norbu (sp?) from housekeeping who helped me find my lost Airpods...he went above and beyond!

Very convenient location, clean rooms and common areas, and excellent staff. No complaints other than the parking situation, but it’s midtown, so there’s no real expectations there.

Convenient location between Penn station and Javits convention center. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room condition was good. The only thing was when I turned on the AC/Heat unit, It smelled, and I kept sneezing. Maybe AC/Heating unit needs cleaning?

This hotel was clean, friendly, and the room and bathroom was spacious by NYC standards. The amenities were great and the staff were wonderful and kind. It was a 4 minute walk to Madison Square Garden, which was a plus after a late night concert!

I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and open this hotel felt. Many of the hotels I've stayed at in NYC feel tight, but this was not. The room was comfortable and spacious, and I loved the exercise equipment in the room. Staff was nice, and location was super convenient.

Loved our stay at the Even Hotel. Location is super convenient, easy to get to EWR on the train, and around the City near many subway lines. Easy walk to Hudson Yards. Lots of good food options nearby. The hotel is clean, safe, and friendly staff. Would come back.

Very convenient (walkable) to Penn Station and the theatre district. Being a small boutique hotel, service is so much better with staff always available. Great bagel shops down the block! Staff are friendly and professional.

I am a travel agent and booked this hotel to see if it was a good property to recommend to several groups of clients looking for a moderate priced NYC experience this fall. I can’t recommend this property based on my experience.

There are good things about the hotel. The a/c and elevators work. The front door is locked at night and elevator access requires a key card. The maintenance and cleaning staff I encountered in the elevator seem friendly. Access to the subway is convenient. Our driver told us that, although the front entrance looks undesirable, there is a police precinct right around the corner. It is in a central location.

The things that disappointed me: I booked rooms that were supposed to include breakfast, but upon arrival found out they did not. The package was paid in full in advance with a specific statement that no additional payments would be required at the hotel. However, at check-in, the front desk asked for a card “for incidentals,” and upon checkout I found I was charged over $30 per room per day for a Facility Fee - a fee no one disclosed, and what I understand from reading reviews is for amenities I wasn’t offered and did not receive. I also had joined Platinum Elite (a paid membership) to receive extra benefits for the trip - most particularly late check out - and I received none of the Platinum Elite benefits. The membership is nonrefundable so I wasted $200 as I am reluctant to stay in an IHG property again.

A few other minor disappointments: there was a hair in the room’s ice bucket; the sink pipe seemed corroded; there was no place in the room closet to hang long garments like dresses or jumpsuits; there were doors slamming constantly in the hallway and the noise was very loud in the room; there was mood lighting behind the headboard that would come on at random in the middle of the night; the ice machine on my floor was broken for the duration of the visit; and the front desk staff seemed very tired and overwhelmed with long lines of guests, so there were no good opportunities to ask for assistance.

This is not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I would not recommend it. There are better options without hidden charges.
