Fantastic beach view

My family stayed at this beachfront hotel for 2 night in June 2025. When we arrived, there was no staff to greet me and I (a lady) had to offload 2 big luggages myself from the car and had my kids wheel them in. Signs to the front desk was not clear and no staff was at level one to advise. Thankfully a sales staff from a shop informed us that it was level 2. Aside from this, check in was smooth. The Japanese room is old but clean and had a good view of the beach. Breakfast was really nothing to shout about. The food quality was not great.. dishes are mainly cold and lacking in variety.

チェックイン時から親切丁寧でした。お部屋は、オーシャンビューでおすすめです。大浴場でゆっくり疲れを癒して熟睡出来ました。朝食は、宮崎県内no.1と言ってもいいくらい美味しいです。次回も宜しくお願い致します。

My wife and I enjoyed this resort so much. The absolute beach front location, amazing views from the room, facilities, generous space and happy friendly staff made our stay a very memorable time. I could see no faults with this resort. Everything runs smoothly with its happy helpful staff.
The tropical beach feeling was very relaxing. We filled our days at the beach, botanic gardens, restaurants and exploring using the regular local rail service. Very enjoyable, we will be back!

Perfect.location, excellent staff and services, amenities. Cant say enough good things about the hotel. Very welcoming and genuinely kind staff. Reasonable rates and right on the beach, close to restaurants

ホテルの立地はとても良かったが、サービスに関してはIHG系列で2番目に当たるホリデーインとして期待して行ったががっかりして帰って来た。まず温泉に関しては温泉の質がとても良く満足しているが、ホテル宿泊者よりも外部から入って来る方々がほとんどで何処かの温泉ランドに行った様な感じを受けた。宿泊者以外の方が〜21時まで入れてわさわさしていて、宿泊者はその後〜23時の間だけ少しゆっくりと過ごせた感じ。朝は掃除の時間までは宿泊者だけなのか空いててゆっくり出来た。タオル類は風呂に置いてなく各自部屋から持って行ってくださいとの事で同じタオルを何回も使うことになった。朝食だけ食べたが0740の段階で韓国からの団体さんがほぼ占領されていて端っこの席を何とか確保出来たが前の人の食べ終わりが片付けられずに置いていたが、我慢して食べた。あと地元の料理も少なくもうすこし頑張って欲しい。今はどこも朝食に力を入れているので残念です。IHGの会員と言うことでラウンジみたいな所で飲み物サービスが有ったが種類も少なくまたアルコールは選べなかったのは残念だった。他のクラウンプラザではアルコールも選べたのだが。今回はシーズンオフだったのでこうだったのかもしれませんが、温泉と窓から見える海岸線はとても良いのでこれからの改善を期待しております。

I already replied to the review in an email a few days ago, but if you or the hotel still need it, I will venture to give my frank opinions again.
1.Parking:
The parking lot in front of the hotel was full during the peak check-in hours, and I was directed to a parking lot across the street. However, after that time, there were vacant spaces available. Looking back, I wondered if non-staying guests using the day spa occupied those spots. I felt that it was not ideal for staying guests to have to park in a lot away from the hotel.
2.Guest Room:
① The step between the room and the area with the bathroom sink inside the guest room is dangerous. The steps are carpeted, making the difference in level with the floor difficult to see, and I felt there was a risk of falling. Even if not fully barrier-free, I would have preferred a gentle slope.
② The refrigerator was too old, and the loud, low humming noise was so bad that it was impossible to sleep. In the two bedrooms of the suite room, I managed to find the switches and turn off the refrigerators, but I couldn't find the switch for the refrigerator in the living room, so the noise continued all night.
③ The hook for locking the window in the bedroom was worn out due to age, and there was a whistling sound from the wind. I don't mind white noise, so I managed to sleep somehow.
3.Staff Uniforms in the Dining Area:
The color of the guest room pajamas and the staff uniforms were almost the same, making it difficult to distinguish who was a staff member, which made ordering drinks and other things challenging.
4.Drink Menu:
There were only half bottles of wine on the menu, and ordering several felt troublesome. As a result, I ended up ordering three bottles. If keeping limited stock is a cost-saving measure, perhaps offering an all-you-can-drink option with a time limit could be considered.
5.Bar:
After having a meal at the restaurant, I went to the bar and found out that it was a self-service system where you buy coupons at the front desk. Drinking alone in an empty bar felt less appealing than drinking in my room.
6.Hot Spring? Public Bath:
There was no detailed information letter in the room. When I went to take a bath, there were ¥100 lockers. I went back to my room to get cash, but when I proceeded to the changing room, there were free lockers. I wondered if the paid lockers at the entrance were necessary. Looking back, I thought they might have been for day-trip bathers' shoes. At the very least, I felt that staying guests should have some guidance in their rooms.
7.Balcony:
There was only a table in the middle that looked like it was used for barbecues in the past. However, modern resort hotels have bed-type chairs and tables found by the beach or poolside. It felt out of place for a contemporary resort.
There were still other things that concerned me, but given the price, the rooms and meals were very reasonable, and the cost performance would be excellent for surfers and families. As a guest who booked a suite room expecting the best service, the issues mentioned in (2. Guest Room) were concerning.

毎回、とてもリラックス出来る空間を提供頂き、ありがとうございます。
滞在前にこちらからメールでのやり取りもさせて頂いたのですが、すぐに返信頂きました。
ただ、チェックアウトを済ませ、エントランスに向かって階段を降りている際、下に1人若い男性のスタッフの方がいらっしゃいました。
今まで、何年も前から何度も滞在していますが、初見の若い男性でした。
こちらから、軽くお辞儀をしたのですが、それも無視、その後エントランスに向かってる際も目が合っているにも関わらず、また、その方は別段、何かをしているわけではなかったのですが、一言の挨拶も頂けませんでした。
その初めて見た若い痩せ型の男性スタッフの方以外は、いつもと同じく丁寧に親しみやすく、対応頂きましたので、とても気持ちよくステイできたのでですが、最後の帰り際にそのような方な対応があり残念でした。
しかしながら、他のスタッフの方々には、いつもよくして頂いているので、また泊まりたいと思えるホテルです。
もう泊まらないと思います

受付の年配男性の黒木さんの対応が感じが悪かったです。ポイントで宿泊したのですが、「宿泊代がサービスなので」という良く分からない説明で、SFCの朝食無料をつけてもらうことができませんでした。とにかく感じが悪かったです。

Old Furniture, Weak WIFI Signal, The poor Chinese restaurant Chefs are necessary to replace. The carpark should not be charged g for any carpark fee as stated.

和食のレストランが閉店していたのが残念だった。
温泉の老朽化や、トイレのウオッシュレットは古すぎるので改善願いたい。

My family of four had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn Resort Hotel in Miyazaki. The view and location is fabulous and even though the hotel is a bit older, the team of Sato San the General manager has done a great job to keep the hotel clean and up to date. The proximity to the sea and nice walk to Aoshima island are very enjoyable. We hope to come back soon.
