Good Stay, but Could Have Been Better

Overall, I enjoyed my stay; however, there were several factors that made the stay somewhat difficult.
1. During check-in the desk agent tried to convince me that room with a single king bed was not available despite the booking website/app showing several. When I was able to book that room in front of her to show it was available, she got confused and had to call her manager several times, ended up double booking me in a second single-king bed instead of looking up the reservation number I showed her, and I had to call customer service to have it all fixed.
2. Location was good. The hotel was wedged in between two good restaurants, two coffee shops within a very short distance, and fast food options around. The only drawback is that Knickerbocker Road is very busy throughout the night and the rooms do not have great sound insulation. If sleep is a priority, I’d request a room that is on the opposite side of the building.
3. Housekeeping was inconsistent. My room contained a kitchenette and the staff would remove my old kitchen towels, but rarely replace them. They’d empty the main trash can but forget the bathroom trash can (or vice versa), and they’d frequently remove bath towels and not replace them with new ones.
4. Something was wrong with their elevator for the duration of my month-and-half long stay. The alarm would buzz randomly and the elevator would start to move before the door would even close. When brought up to the desk agents they said that “someone is coming to fix it.” But it was still operating erratically when I left.
5. The hotel only had ONE working washer. There are three floors, approximately 77 units (according to desk agent Michael), and a single working washer. There is a second washer but it was out of order for the entire duration of my stay. The laundry room itself has 4 water hook-ups and vents for washers and dryers. But they only have one working washer. There were three dryers though. My issue concern is this causes guests to handle other guests laundry without regard for the clothing not being their property, the care instructions for the clothing, and allergies to cleaning products. I set a timer to get my laundry and, within the minute it took to walk from my room to the laundry, another guest put my laundry in the dryer on high heat and with multiple dryer sheets. This could have ruined several hundred dollars in personal clothing and uniforms.
6. Breakfast was delicious and so was the food during their happy hour.

Staff was friendly and hospitable. Hotel room is a little outdated. Bathtub was stained and really slippery. There were tiny holes in the curtains. Lighting was horrible in the room. Comfortability of bed was ok. Breakfast was great! The full bottle sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in the bathroom is very convenient!

Had a great safe stay our room was clean , house keeping was great . Breakfast is the best, we’re always welcome by the staff members. The front desk was great any requests were met with a quick response.

The Breakfast was different and great every morning. Beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have free washer/dryer and even the soap was free.
Price was reasonable.

I would recommend the hotel to friend and family. The stay was one of the best stays I’ve experienced. I plan on booking a longer stay in the near future in order to experience the swimming pool. I really like the atmosphere.

If you read nothing else beyond this first sentence, please understand that this hotel is definitely a great place to stay at and has accommodations that are fitting for every family, every stay, and every occasion. For long term stays, these suites are awesome and hard to find at any other hotel. The community is very established at this hotel, and they even have social gatherings with beverage and food on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The breakfast always seem freshly-prepared every morning with a variety that gets your mornings going, no matter your diet.
I will be honest in saying that the air handler in my room was very loud and startled me throughout the night. I asked a few others that I was meeting up with for business that also stayed in the hotel and some had mentioned the same thing. The air handler in my room was built like an actual central A/C system rather than a window unit like some of the other rooms, but the air handler was actually in my room, which could be the reason why I could actually hear it at night.
Otherwise, everything else I have to say is all compliment for this hotel. The rooms are completely spacious; almost like living at home. The kitchen in the room has almost a full fridge and has a small stovetop for simple cooking. What more could you ask for from your San Angelo hotel? Lastly, this hotel is located in a prime location, with restaurants and the university in easy walking distance.

Sent us to a room that had not been cleaned. Then the next room was not much better. I spent 54,000 points for this nightmare of a stay!!!

Friendly staff, the rooms were clean, great location. The breakfast choices were great. Lobby area is nice. Located by several nice restaurants.

The staff, specifically the manager on duty was very accommodating but more importantly, he went above and beyond for other guests that were there due to the flooding in Texas. He was careful to see to it that their stay was comfortable and their needs were met.

I would say the overall experience was good but the breakfast lady was not friendly at all. If you asked for something it’s like she was annoyed. Over heard her speaking about other guest.
