InterContinental David Tel Aviv
You could start your day out in Tel Aviv with a jog along the beach, then wander down to buzzing Carmel Market, moments from the hotel, to pick up a delicious fresh fruit juice. From there you can walk to Old Jaffa in around 20 minutes, to explore the winding streets of the atmospheric ancient port district. Look out for the Ottoman Clock Tower on your way to the Jaffa flea market, where you can browse stalls overflowing with handmade jewelry, vintage lamps and antique prayer shawls.
If you're feeling peckish, you could stroll down to Levinsky Market and snack your way around the gourmet village, sampling tasty farmhouse cheeses and roasted nuts. The surrounding Neve Tzedek district is a fashionable bohemian area where work by local artists pours out of the galleries and overflows onto the streets. While you’re there, check out what’s on in the evening at the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater, then try the chocolate eclairs in the courtyard of the Dallal Café
In the evening, dress to impress and head up to glamorous Rothschild Boulevard, famous for its white, clean-lined Bauhaus-style buildings. You can ask the Concierge about architecture and nightlife tours, or get some tips about the area's best bars. Enjoy a drink or two, then catch a taxi to Tony Vespa for the best wood-fired pizza in town. On your way home, join the fashionable crowd to view art and dance under the night sky at Kuli Alma, or live bands at local favourite Rothschild 12.
