Red carpet glamour

Film culture walks in perfect step with the Regent philosophy of staging memorable moments. Memories of yesterday repeatedly retold and reimagined for many years after.

The Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel has a rich legacy with film. The very first Cannes Film Festival in 1946 was hosted in the hotel’s old casino. That year, only eight journalists were present yet it forged an unbreakable bond between the festival and the hotel.

To this very day, Carlton Cannes continues to play its leading role as a favored hotel of Hollywood royalty as they descend on the Cote D’Azur for the annual spectacle of cinema. Throughout the festival, electric energy sparks fresh perspectives in the hotel lobby as stars make dramatic departures enroute to the Red Carpet.

The event was hosted at Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel.

The language of lights

Light narrates through illumination, flooding its canvas with a spectrum of technicolor to draw the eye to what stands in its spotlight. Artistic director Lionel Hun painted the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel with light in celebration of the hotel’s grand return at the Cannes Film Festival.
