Our Travel Advisory Policy

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) understands that from time-to-time your booking may be affected by weather or natural disasters that are not planned.  In such cases, we make every possible effort to keep you informed and to provide you with the level of service that you require so that you can manage your bookings and plan around these unforeseen circumstances. If a Travel Advisory exists, we will display details about the advisory, how your booking may be affected and the process for how to proceed with as little stress and inconvenience as possible.

Covid-19 advisory

We all play a part in supporting safe travel and we want our guests to be able to stay with confidence. Our number one priority is your health, safety and well-being. We closely monitor developments around the world and are in contact with global organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and relevant authorities for country-specific requirements, to ensure the actions we take are comprehensive and suitable.

Local Area Covid-19 Protocol(s): Travellers should review their travel plans and plan accordingly for any travel based on the requirements of your destination. Your travel destination may be subject to state or local laws that require isolation or quarantine upon entry, or other mandates such as wearing a face covering while in public spaces, vaccine mandate or additional Covid-19 testing requirements. Ensure that you review any requirements prior to travel.

All IHG branded hotels are required to adhere to comprehensive cleaning and safety procedures intended to reduce the risk of Covid-19 exposure and transmission.

Modified services

For the health and safety of guests and hotel colleagues, and in line with local legislation and current health authority guidance, some hotels are also operating with modified or reduced services (e.g. reduction in restaurant and bar service, alternative guest room furnishings and/or amenities). These changes are temporary and normal amenity and service levels will be reinstated as soon as possible.

We want you to book with confidence by providing flexible booking options. All bookings can be changed without charge and most rates are able to be canceled without penalty*.  To change or cancel a reservation, visit Manage Your Stay or call our Reservations and Customer Care team.
