The Nevada State Museum in Carson City actively engages diverse audiences in understanding and celebrating Nevada’s natural and cultural heritage. Exhibits highlight the state’s natural history, history, a replica walk-through mine and ghost town, the historic Carson City Mint, and the U.S.S. Nevada silver service.

The Robert "Bob" Crowell Multi-Purpose Athletic Center (MAC) is a 41,000 square foot indoor athletic facility that features 4 high school and 2 collegiate-sized basketball courts, 2 futsal courts (a form of indoor soccer), 4 volleyball courts, 12 pickleball courts, and a 1/8th-mile indoor walking/running track. The facility may be rented for special community-based events as well; availability-permitting.

Carson Ridge Disc Golf Park is located on the corner of Rifle Range Rd. and Flint Dr. (from Hwy-50E), and features two separate courses and panoramic views of Carson City and the Sierras. There is a 9-hole Family Course with shorter distances to the baskets and easier terrain, and a competitive tournament-level 18-hole Stadium Course.

The Pony Express Airpark is a fenced, paved area operated by the High Sierra Radio Control Club for flying radio controlled airplanes. Only flyers with proof of A.M.A. membership or equivalent liability insurance may use this facility.

The Carson City Aquatic Facility offers an Olympic-sized indoor pool measuring 50 meters X 25 yards, a Parent and Tot pool, Therapy pool, Weight Room and for Summer Fun a 25-yard outdoor pool which is open May through September, weather permitting. Soak your worries away in the 2nd purest water in the world! Natural mineral water flows out of the ground at 121° F. Air spray and evaporative cooling are used to lower this water temperature when pools are drained and refilled during each day. No chemical or city water is added. The outdoor swimming pool temperature is maintained between 93-96° F in the summer and 98-100° F in the winter. The outdoor hot tub is maintained between 100-102° F
