Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good news and bad Although the room was quite small, I understand that by S.F. standards, it is above average! I rated cleanliness poor because there was a long black hair on the ceiling of the bathroom and while I was in the bathtub I noted the front of the toilet below the seat had not been cleaned; one wastebasket was not emptied. The sheets and linens were lovely. The staff was superb...attentive, friendly and prompt to take action when our phone message light would not go off. Everyone of the staff we met was friendly and helpful. One thing that could be better is that the attached restaurant, ROH, should have posted the cost of the buffet breakfast. We had just a minimal amount to eat and nearly fell over with a bill, before tip, of $39. However, the restaurant staff was attentive and nice. The accommodations for the convention were excellent as was the food. I recommend giving a hand out explaining how the room keys operate the elevator...some needed new card swipers. Would I stay there again? Yes, at convention prices only. April 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable; great location. I was staying here for a conference. The hotel was easy to get to, and the staff was friendly whenever I encountered them. I did not partake in any of the hotel amenities beyond the conference space in the basement. I did see a LOT of flight crews going in and out, so this must be a popular crash pad for airline employees. I ran into people having trouble with the card reader on the elevators; but I did not have any issues. I ended up calling them to have a copy of my receipt emailed to me, and they took care of me immediately. April 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location can't be beat. The hotel was centrally located and perfect for a couple of tourists just coming to wander around with no agenda besides chowder and Chinese food. Cable car and bus stops right outside the building, the 3 day Clipper Pass for Muni was the best money we spent all week. # 47 takes you right to the wharf and the cable car runs you right downtown with Chinatown stop along the way. Walgreen's behind hotel has the Clipper passes, super convenient. All staff were great, especially Chris in the restaurant. What a great way to start the day with a smiling face. Everyone there was great and helpful no matter what the question was. I really lucked out picking this place. Nice neighborhood with a couple of really good places to eat besides the hotel, which was delicious by the way. Nice, clean and friendly Chinese restaurant one block south of hotel too. Thanks to all we encountered, you folks are wonderful and made this trip fantastic. Yes, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. April 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very courteous service I wish I knew the gentleman at the front desk by name. He was so pleasant and polite with everyone. He is probably of African decent (he had an accent). There was a group in front of me with a few questions and you team member was very patient and helpful while making the guest very comfortable. I noticed because the guest at first seemed a bit apprehensive. He was just as patient and pleasant with me as well. He really seems to enjoy his work and took pride in helping his guest. The room was basically clean accept there were a few hairs in the shower. I could tell the shower had been cleaned but the hairs were simply overlooked. All in all a pleasant experience.
