Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and courteous staff - Clean and comfortable rooms Having traveled up the coast to visit relatives, we found the Santa Maria Area to be a central point from which to see many parts of the State of California that we have previously overlooked. The Holiday Inn was recommended by a traveler at a restaurant. He did not exaggerate a bit, the property is clean, comfortable and is located with easy access to the main highway. May 4, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Santa Maria our stay was pretty late afternoon and left in the AM. Building is older and some of the exterior doors seems to have a glitch when use the key card. You have to swipe it several times either getting no light or a red light before finally getting the green light to open the door. surrounding are what they are....lots of transients on bikes..... people parked in cars out on the public road just appear to be hanging out..... makes you feel uncomfortable coming and going. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tough Experience We checked in the room at 3 pm, room was not clean. Beds were not made, wet dirty towels in bathroom. Had to call to have house cleaning service room. After house cleaning came, beds were made, towels were picked up. Dirty soaps were still (with hair) left on sink and shower. Toilet still had human excrement not flushed. Turned out the toilet was broken and we later had maintenance fix the flushing problem. Pool area was filthy, no towels, trash and cigerettes were in jacuzzi. On second day, while trying to take a nap, some sort of maintenance or construction was happening next door. A drilling sound or grinding went on for several hours. Overall, a bad experience.
