Clean and comfy

The location of this hotel is a great mid point if you are spending time north and south in the redwoods. Great hotel with friendly staff and comfy beds and pillows. One of the best continental [更多] breakfasts I’ve had! A little road noise as it is conveniently located next to interstate. Also, we have AT & T and didn’t get cell service so used FaceTime audio to make calls. The hotel wifi worked well for internet. If you need to check in late there may not be food/restaurants available as there is only 2 places in town to eat and one closes at 8:00. However, the gas station has Chester chicken and other food available. Crescent city is close. [更少]

Best Hotel when visiting the Redwood National Forest

While visiting the Redwood National Forest we decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Klamath. Klamath is a small town in the middle of the Redwoods right off Highway 101 and we're glad we [更多] decided to stay there. It was quiet and relaxing other than the occasional truck you'd hear going down highway. The hotel is clean and there is a restaurant (Abalone Bar & Grill) and casino right next door (basically in the same building) which was convenient. We did eat at Abalone one night and the food was pretty good; however, they were understaffed so we had to wait a bit to get served. We stayed 3 nights and ate breakfast there each morning. Breakfast each morning had a variety of items to choose from even though some of the breakfast machines (pancake machine, juice machine & hot item containers) were out of order periodically during our stay. We flew into Arcata (ACV) airport and made sure to stop at the grocery store (Safeway) to get some snacks before driving up to Klamath; the hotel room had a small refrigerator so we could store a few items. The hotel bed was fairly comfortable; however, the AC in the room seemed to quit working each night and we would wake up sweating. The hotel wi-fi worked great, which we used quite a bit since our phones didn't have service (T-Mobile) in the forest. The hotel staff were all very nice and greeted us each time we walked by the front desk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again. [更少]

Favorite hotel in the area

I always stay here when I am up to visit my daughter at Humboldt. Great location, quiet at night, amenities are great and the staff is super friendly. I also love that they have a few GF options at [更多] breakfast, that is a huge treat for me since I normally have to pack something else for myself. I would highly recommend staying here. [更少]
