IMCA-sanctioned classes include Modified, Sport Modified, Stock, Hobby Stock, and Sport Compact, with the Spring Nationals drawing racers from across the nation. The season runs spring through September Fest, and the grandstands offer a lively atmosphere for fans. The speedway is roughly six miles from the hotel, great for a weekend.

Work on your swing or unwind with friends on a Par 72 course that blends traditional tree-lined fairways with Scottish links-style holes across 7,169 yards. Five sets of tees challenge golfers at every level, with water in play on six holes and bunkers throughout. The clubhouse features the Black Rock Grille for a post-round meal, and the semi-private setting welcomes members and guests. The country club sits about five miles from the hotel, close enough for an early tee time.

Just a few minutes from the hotel, this museum occupies the 1906 Burlington Passenger Depot in downtown Beatrice and tells the story of Gage County from its founding. Exhibits cover local industry, business innovation, and community life through artifacts and rotating displays. Admission is free, with donations welcome, and the building is a fine example of Neo-Classical Revival architecture. Group tours are available with advance reservation for a deeper dive into local history.

Quiet water and shaded banks make the Big Blue River a favorite spot for fishing, kayaking, and riverside picnics just a short drive from the hotel. The river winds through Beatrice, with access points that let you launch a canoe or cast a line for a relaxing afternoon on the water. Wildlife is abundant along the banks, and the easy trails nearby are ideal for a casual walk or a family outing. Plan on about ten minutes to reach the river from our front door.
