The five-minute ascent to the top of Table Mountain offers a 360° view of Cape Town, the ocean and the neighbouring peaks. Once at the top visitors enjoy spectacular views and the peaceful feeling of being over one thousand metres above the city below. The area at the top of the mountain is surprisingly large so leave enough time to stroll along the paths, enjoy the viewing platforms and soak up the vistas.

El Jardín Botánico Nacional Kirstenbosch es aclamado como uno de los mejores jardines botánicos del mundo. Construido entre 1666 y 1679 por la Compañía Holandesa de las Indias Empresa (VOC) como estación de reabastecimiento marítimo, el Castillo de Buena Esperanza es el edificio colonial más antiguo de África. Desde 1678 fue el centro de la vida civil, administrativa y militar en el Cabo, hasta que el asentamiento creció y algunas funciones y actividades se trasladaron fuera del castillo. Hoy en día, el castillo es la sede del ejército en el Cabo y alberga el Museo Militar del Castillo y los Museos Iziko de Ciudad del Cabo.

The District Six Museum recalls the history of a community that was forcibly removed in the apartheid era. In 1966 the National Party government declared District Six a “white group area” and moved thousands of residents (mostly coloured and black people) to the Cape Flats, where they had few facilities or means of making a living. All buildings except religious ones were demolished.
