Nice people, good breakfast

The place was well situated, I extended my stay 1 day and the second day was double the first day. Loved the breakfast and was able to fix sandwiches for a picnic lunch.

The rooms were very nice and clean. Bathroom counter was a bit small and there was no iron on the room. Breakfast was good however the dinner selections and service we less than expected.

Repeat Stay

We stayed here in April 2019, and found everything to be very pleasant. With this stay, we found the rooms to be as quiet and well fitted as our first stay. The rooms are extremely quiet. The bathrooms are small, but the shower is terrific - no water on the floor from the handheld shower.
My only complaint for this stay was the food. In 2019, we were very happy with the quality of the buffet dinner and breakfast. This time, the food was of much lower quality and the service was chaotic. Breakfast wasn't any better. Guests were eating early to catch flights, but the staff couldn't get the food out on time.
Lunch was heat-in-a microwave items from a vending machine or pizzas. You would have to go to another hotel or into the airport to get a better lunch.
We would stay here again, but find somewhere else to eat.

Avoid if possible

Only reason to stay there is for the proximity to parking PR.
Got booked on the 7th floor, no hot water! Meaning water was not cold just no water at all ! Nice when you have to take a shower at 04 AM to catch a flight. Got moved to the 1st floor, air conditioning system not working at all...So very bad experience. And not enough staff at the reception.

Great location, everything else was chaotic. Huge check in lines which were poorly staffed. AC not turned on yet throughout the hotel — no individual room AC units. Could not open windows for ventilation — locked shut (huge fire risk, btw). Dinner buffet was overpriced and underwhelming. Not a good airport hotel experience. If there is a next time at De Gaulle, it won’t be this property.

Terrible experience

I stayed in holiday inn express near the CDG airport for one night. Upon arrival I was given a room which was not cleaned up. There were wine glasses outside the door, bed was not done. I took pictures and went to the reception and got my room changed. Then the next room had no hot water and I kept calling the reception and they didn't pick my call after the first one where they said we will send someone. At 11pm at night I waited for 30 min for someone to come but nobody came so I went to the reception. Spoke to the same receptionist and he said there is some problem in the hot water line in column spring hot water to your room. So we are working on it and we don't know how long it would take. So I said in that case can you change my room again as I need to have a bath and it's almost midnight and I have a connecting flight to catch in 4 hours. But he refused and said I can't change your room as I did it already once. But it wasn't my mistake that the first room was unclean and the second had no hot water. Then after lot of verbal reasoning he agreed to change to the third room. I was so tired and needed to sleep desparately but this bad experience made me cancel my next stay and now I booked another hotel.

Surprise at the Airport

I was surprised by the quietness of the rooms although the hotel is nearly on the airport field.

Easy access from/to the airport, friendly staff, smart design

Booked the hotel as my flight was cancelled and postponed the next day, very early, and got Superior room on last floor with airport view.

The superior room is around 20 sqm large.
Last generation of Holiday Inn Express design: pretty smart and comfortable in a small space.

Comfortable bed with usb sockets.
Sofa with small desk.

Bathroom with walk in shower. Soak Superfood toiletries (I liked the fragrance).

Kettle.
Connectable television with good selection of international channels.

View over the jetway.
Very quiet.

GOOD
Very friendly staff.
Easy access to/from CDG airport via free CDG Val automatic shuttle (3 minutes walk from PR station through outdoors covered walkway).
Restaurant.
Meals of good quality in jarred can be purchased and reheated in the microwave in the lobby.
Bar.
For very early birds, breakfast is offered next to the bar (otherwise at restaurant).
Luggage scale in the lobby.
As Spire member, I received both points and free drink.

Its still winter, so no AC!!

This was my first time staying in a hotel in France, so maybe there were things that I should have known, but there were definitely NOT on their website!

We checked in in March, the room was HOT, so I went to the front desk and was informed that its still "winter" in France, so there is no AC. OK, but its hot what am I supposed to do. There is nothing to do, sorry....

Airport Shuttle - don't get me started! This hotel has NO free airport shuttle as they claim on their website, what they do have is a shuttle train that originates at the airport and stops about 1/8 of a mile away from their hotel. You can't advertise on your site that your hotel has an airport shuttle because guess what I was looking for for over an hour at the airport - a shuttle bus or van to your hotel! When we finally arrived at the hotel by funding this airport shuttle and asked what they were talking about when they said the hotel has a free shuttle, they said, oh no, its not free, and you have to arrange it in advance but the airport shuttle is free, what?? I said, this info is NOT on your website, answer from front desk - you guessed it, sorry again.

Ice, seems like a small thing, but it was HOT in the room. You guessed it, they had no ice machines (as advertised on their website), each time I needed ice, I had to go down to the hotel bar and was given paper cups filled with ice (1 at a time!). I took that trip at least 10 times!

Needless to say, during our stay, I booked another hotel in Paris and guess what?? They had AC, ice in the room friendly and helpful hotel staff!
