In a former factory, Boréalis is dedicated to an industry that has marked the economic development of Trois-Rivières: pulp and paper! After all, the city is at the crossroads of rivers, an ideal geographical position for this national industry. All themes are exploited: the Saint-Maurice river, the forest, the log, the lumberjacks, the worker's life, all at the heart of a factory in 1920.

The old prison of Trois-Rivières imposes its presences. It was the longest-running prison in Canada until it was closed in 1986. If you are lucky enough an ex-convicts will guide you through the cells, the dungeons, but especially the day-to-day lives of prisoners. An authentic experience that will upset more than one!
