Explore Kicker Rock, or Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, one of the most famous sights in the Galapagos Islands. Rising 148 meters out of the ocean, the extinct volcanic cone that resembles a sleeping lion is home to many bird species and sea lions. It is located 24 km away from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and a few kilometers from the Breeding Center next to Cerro Colorado. Access is by land, you must take a taxi, in approximately 45 minutes you will reach a path that is easily accessible to anyone, from where you must walk 15 minutes to reach the white sand beach that is very fine to the touch, it is an excellent site for recreation and rest, it is an ideal place to observe seabirds feeding. Learn about the natural history of the giant San Cristóbal tortoises and their differences from the rest of the archipelago, and shop for locally made handicrafts at the stores within the reserve.

Hike to Tijeretas Hill and see the famous colony of frigate birds. A short distance from Port Baquerizo Moreno, the hill offers several overlooks where you can take in the breathtaking sights of nature and panoramic views of the north coast of the San Cristóbal Island. Walk down to the small cove and go snorkeling and swimming in the sea. Learn about the Galapagos archipelago and its volcanic origins at the Museum of Natural History and the Charles Darwin Interpretation Centre.
