Basic, no-frills efficient hotel

I have stayed at this property several times. I used to stay at other IHG hotels in the area but now the Avid is my go-to hotel.
It is a low frills hotel but very efficient for me since I can get a quick breakfast in the morning and it's close to FLL airport, Fort Lauderdale and easy access to I-95 to get to Miami. The blackout curtains are very good at blocking light for a good night's sleep. Having a car is very helpful since there isn't much nearby, and parking is free. On the rare occasion when I've had an issue or problem I have brought it up with Greg (manager) and he has taken care of it immediately. He genuinely cares that everyone has a great stay. The staff at the hotel have always been helpful but a special shout out to Marie (housekeeping) who made sure my room is very well serviced/cleaned/supplied daily.
More like a hostel.

The room was clean and colorful. It was tiny with barely enough room to walk around the bed. There were no closets, dressers , microwave or coffee maker. Very minimal on towels and supplies. The waste paper basket was about 1/2 gallon. Miserable stay. All of our belongings were spread over any and all flat surfaces. I like my room clean and uncluttered. This made for an anxious vacation. I’ll never stay at an Avid Hotel again. It’s more like a hostel at the price of a hotel.

We scheduled an early check-in for when we got there. They told us that it wasn’t possible. That we had to wait until 3:00. The gal working the front desk wasn’t even willing to look up the reservation. Finally at 2:00 she said rooms were ready. Then argued that we couldn’t have set up early check-in, although the room key was sitting there from the time we got in. She then acted as though she couldn’t find our reservation. Then had to wait another 20 minutes because apparently the room wasn’t clean. Getting to the room the room was in poor shape. The floor was peeling up. There was moldy food in the air conditioner. Overall poor experience.

I stayed at the Avid Hotel one night, July 17th and I really liked it.
Carlos was the driver that brought me from the airport to the hotel and he was very friendly and helpful, I am disabled and he made me feel safe.
Kendall was the receptionist and she was helpful, friendly and professional and made feel very welcome.
I am recommending this hotel to my friends and family and I am planning to stay again next January 2026

A fairly new hotel with easy access from the highway. Very few minor housekeeping issues. Front Desk staff needs at check in was good, but at checkout definitely needs more training including loyalty training. Typical weekend staff.

Eu já viajei o mundo, e esta propriedade ganhou o prêmio por ser a primeira a fazer eu e minha esposa sermos vítimas de percevejos! Morderam-nos as mãos e a cara. Mudaram-nos para outro quarto depois de reclamarmos com o recepcionista, que reconheceu que NÃO fomos os primeiros a reclamar... naquele dia! Além disso, nosso quarto nunca foi limpo após a primeira noite de estadia. Cama nunca limpa, cama nunca feita, toalhas não trocadas. Não nos ofereceram qualquer compensação ou desconto. Quando liguei para reclamar com o gerente, liguei para o hotel. Sou associado IHG Platinum há anos, e esta foi a PIOR propriedade em que já me hospedei. Esta NÃO é uma propriedade que eu recomendaria ou estadia no futuro. Boa sorte ao escolher este local.

Localização e preço eram ótimos! O café da manhã era um pouco limitado, mas eu provavelmente sou considerado exigente. A equipe de Check-in foi maravilhosa, ela foi muito prestativa e informativa sobre a área.
