Outstanding stay made for a lovely vacation

From the moment we walked into the Kempton Margot in Sydney to the moment, we walked out we were thrilled that we had selected this property for our Sydney vacation. Not only is the hotel very comfortable, the entire staff is professional, welcoming, and kind. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, and most of all the water pressure in the shower was perfect. We very much enjoyed all of the meals that we had at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was perfect every day.
We will definitely choose the Kimpton Margot the next time we visit Sydney.

Lovely central hotel

Lovely hotel every central within 10 minutes walk to harbour and central station. Metro stops nearby. When checked in room was already and greeted warmly by Matt who was very helpful in tips on where to go in city. Breakfast very filling if you ask for eggs Benedict get two and ask for bacon gets few rashes nicely grilled no grease on them.
Room very spacious and clean.
Bar is good but closes 10.30 which most of hotels we stayed in finished about this time.
Would highly recommend staying here and would come back if come to Sydney again

The hotel is in a central location - convenient to public transportation, shopping and eateries. It’s very clean and the staff went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience and comfort for my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and come back for future stay!

Meu marido reservou este hotel para mim como parte de um presente e conseguiu um ótimo preço. O lobby é tão luxuoso e o nosso quarto também. Matt na recepção foi incrível e muito acolhedor. Muito limpo e bem mobiliado e um local perfeito para qualquer atividade que você tenha na cidade, a uma curta distância de shows e compras. Nós com certeza ficaremos novamente.

Primeira e última estadia neste hotel. Sydney tem muitas outras propriedades que podem proporcionar uma experiência de 5estrelas pela mesma faixa de preço.

O único ponto positivo é fazer uma check-out para nunca olhar para trás.

Truly Outstanding Stay – Every Detail Was Perfect

From the moment we arrived, our stay at Kimpton Margot Sydney was fantastic. Check-in was smooth and friendly—the front desk staff were not only warm and welcoming but also knowledgeable about the local area (we ended up with an excellent dinner recommendation) and the weather, which we appreciated.

Our room was bright and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and I especially loved how peaceful the room was—thanks to the nearly silent heating and A/C, it was easy to get a great night’s sleep (even though my husband could sleep through anything!). The bathroom had big, fluffy towels and I can't tell you enough of good things about the shower - spacious and a great water pressure.

Breakfast each morning was another highlight. The hostess was an absolute joy—friendly, engaging, and so fun to chat with. The dining staff were just as attentive, always keeping our water and coffee topped. The food was fresh and delicious.

One moment that really stood out came after we had checked out. Since we had a later flight, we decided to relax in the lobby for a bit—something we don’t typically do. Thankfully, we did, because a member of the housekeeping team had discovered a backpack we had accidentally left behind in our room (with our passports inside!) and immediately alerted the front desk. We hadn’t even realized it was missing yet. Their honesty and quick action meant so much to us and really spoke volumes about the level of care and integrity shown by the staff.

Service culture needs urgent attention.

This stay left me deeply disappointed. From the front desk to breakfast staff, I was met with coldness, dismissal, and a striking lack of service instinct.

I requested water for my younger brother at 2am — not only was it refused without empathy, but the response felt calculated. He went to bed thirsty.

I stayed 3 nights under my name, yet my IHG account shows zero points and no qualifying nights. I wasn’t just underserved. I was made invisible.

The tone across the stay was distant, transactional, and indifferent. There was no warmth, no follow-up, and no sense of care.

For a hotel that presents itself as premium, the experience fell silent.
I won’t return. And I won’t recommend it.

非常棒的飯店！
服務很好👍 房間的床很舒服！
保有Kimpton的水準
飯店的位置在市中心
離歌劇院 市府 唐人街都很近

但是大廳的部分稍微老舊
休息位子不多 酒吧的客人很多

但晚上的Social Hour很不錯
服務生很熱情 很舒服🥳

入住時記得說社交密碼
Kimpton的傳統小遊戲😜

這次入住只有一個小問題
就是淋浴間的水龍頭🚰 有點壞掉
無法正確的調整到想要的水溫
但其他部分都很棒 會再次入住！

This was such a beautiful hotel! The atmosphere as you walk in really sets the stage for your stay. The staff were amazing, only too happy to help. I really can't fault anything here. Great location. Can't wait to come back and stay again
