We were very pleased with our whole experience from the minute we checked in to when we checked out. We were immediately acknowledged when we walked in. The room was spacious and clean. We were very impressed with the Candlewood Cupboard and the exercise room. The whole experience was impressive.

First room had a strong odor of fried fish, couldn't even walk inside the room, got it changed, but the second room, still lacked basic cleaning, it smelled like a stale locker room, bathroom smelled like somebody kept dirty wet dogs in there... we ended up buying Lysol and bedding sheets so we could sleep on top of the beds, (don't trust the beds had been cleaned) fridge is very noisy when it kicks in during the night waking us up. it has everything it needs to be one of the best rooms, it really does, but the lack of maintenance and the smells are just awful. had it been cleaned and maintained it would have been a really great room,

We have stayed at this location a few times before with no issues. Very thankful that we were able to extend our stay for an additional night. However, no room service was provided. When we mentioned it, the clerk indicated that they were short staffed, which is understandable. But we were told this only after we returned to the room and were about to shower and noticed that we didn’t have new towels. Additionally, we ran out of toilet paper as well. It would have been better if they had informed us via a note or phone message to check to see if we needed anything. Overall not good service.

Nice location, room size is adequate, staff is friendly but we did have a couple bugs in the room. Overall though, this is a decent place to stay.
Spacious room and great stop for one night.

Great place to stay for one night but not sure if I would stay for an extended period of time. Room was very noisy and could hear everything above us. Great television and comfortable bed. Bathroom was falling apart a little and the AC was very rattly but other than that great place.

Easy check in and check out. Reservation line helpful and accommodating when changing type of room on day of check in. Clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious room . Location made travel to Baylor and downtown easy while being outside the busiest part of town. Only suggestion is that towels could be softer and smell more fresh - definitely industrially washed.

stuck elevator and howling dog.

We checked in with no problem, got to the elevators and found a hotel employee and group of people gathered around the elevators. We were told two people were stuck in an elevator on the fourth floor. We were going to the second floor and took the other elevator with a few other people, one of whom told us he had been stuck in the other elevator 3 times since he had been there, always on the fourth floor. He said we should always us the elevator we are now in since it doesn't get stuck. We left to a meeting after putting our stuff in the room and met fire trucks and rescue people coming in with rescue equipment.We also found that the problem was not passed on to the next shift, who seemed not to know of the issues. When we returned we found that we were rooming very close to a dog whining and howling. The dog was still there when we checked out four days later, still whining and howling. Due to college check in and activities in Waco at that time there were no other available rooms so we stayed. The staff was aware of the dog but said they could do nothing. They agreed it was awful.
