This location was very nice!! Clean and in a new trendy area. Plenty of restaurants and stores around you. The hotel was very nice. We were told ahead of time that the rooms were small.. That they are, but we had no troubles. they had what we needed. The staff was extra nice and pleasant. Very welcoming and helpful. If I had to say a few things that on the cons side, the pillows were awful. Like no support. Very uncomfortable to try to sleep. Our cable on the tv went out, bit not for long..and the room did not have a set up on the air conditioner to constantly run the fan. This helps us so much with noise control during late hours and car noises. The eggs at breakfast were very good, and we had to wait both days bc they ran out...so maybe, keep that in mind and have them ready verses waiting til they are gone.

I stayed there from September 18th, through the 21st. I was originally scheduled to stay through the 22nd. I checked out one day earlier than planned, because I wanted to be closer to the airport for my 7:00am flight, the next morning, and to avoid all of the construction on I.H 35. Hotels.com said I needed to get my refund from the hotel. It has now been a week, and I have yet to hear back from the manager of the hotel about my refund.
Also, I found the room to be hot when sleeping at night. The air conditioned unit was not facing the bed, so it cooled everywhere accept the bed area.
The first room they gave me had not been cleaned. Dirty stained sheets and trash was still in the room. I did not even check the bathroom.I just left and went down to front desk.
The breakfast was really, really good and I also liked that they had filtered water.
They do have refrigerators in the room. However, they do not have microwaves or coffee makers in the rooms. There are no laundry facilities or a pool on the property.
It is located next to a gas station, so you can go there and get some snacks. And you can even get something hot to eat. Scan trap questions
Would I recommend this hotel? It depends on your purpose for staying there and what matters to you.

Every time we visit my daughter we stay here. Hotel it's always clean, low nightly rates, good customer service and love that they offer breakfast. Highly recommended if traveling solo or with a family.

My sister and I love AVID. We come to Austin to visit our younger sister and the hotel is perfect for us. The location is close to where our sister lives so we don’t have to get involved with the horrible Austin traffic. We don’t need a bunch of fancy amenities during the day and AVID provides the clean, friendly, quiet, comfortable atmosphere we love at night. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The hot breakfast is much more than the typical continental breakfast that is included with many other hotels. AVID is out go to place when coming to Austin!

Great stay.Staff was amazing. Even housekeeping service was excellent. I would definitely come back in stay for work again. Clean,Quite and Cozy hotel stay for work.

Noise from road but clean and comfortable

The check-in process was easy. Recognized as platinum member. The noise from some cars and trucks was extremely loud but perhaps would have been less noisy in a different room location. Room was clean and comfortable. Location felt safe. It was the last night of a few day trip in TX.

This is a wonderful and comfortable place.
