Promo offer through Capital One still not paid from a stay that ended April 4, 2025. Calls to Capital One and IHG just result in each party saying I need to contact the other party, with no results. Sent email to IHG customer rewards about 2 weeks ago and still have not received any reply. No more IHG stays or Capital One credit card use until this is resolved and I am compensated in the form of a couple free nights for all the hassle. It is not much money, it is the principal.

Best hotel when visiting Brooklyn

Our stay was amazing. First, the location is wonderful, as it's near Bay Ridge's famous shopping and dining district. Mass transit is right nearby, and parking was not a problem either. Rooms were very quiet, too. From our arrival, dealing with the front desk staff, seeing the indoor and outdoor breakfast areas, enjoying our room and all the many TV stations available, it was all above expectations. We love European Costa Coffee and were so happy to see this is what Avid serves. Dove brand soaps, shampoo, etc was a pleasant and welcome treat. The caring personnel who keep the breakfast area and the rooms clean really did an excellent job. I'd be happy to stay here again the next time I'm in town.

Room was adequate, no closet, just hooks to hang clothes. Hangers were provided. No drawers, couple of cubbies to store clothes. The lighting was fine, water pressure good. The towels were thin and rough. The bed was fine as was the TV. Complimentary breakfast was decent. Good coffee.
Very few hotel options in the area. I would stay here again.

The most convenient and friendly hotel when you are staying with children. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. We love this hotel and stay when we come to bay ridge to visit family. We appreciate that this hotel goes above and beyond for their guests and comfort. Thanks again!

Price was great, street parking was abundant. Staff was really nice, and there was a great bagel place and pasta place right across the street. Clean, comfortable, and safe.

Everything was brand new clean and comfortable. Rooms are a little bit small but perfect when you need a room at a decent price in a good area of Brooklyn

Looks brand new, well-maintained and super clean. Had a good sleep and can't complain. Thanks to the management and staff. Great location, and I shall return someday.

This property was a great experience right from the time we stepped in the lobby! Location is fantastic! Easy access to metro, subway and a fantastic bagel place right across the street! Plan to stay here again when I visit NY again. Parking is also easily available on streets around the hotel and its a pretty safe neighborhood so you safe on the car parking fees.

My stay at the Avid Hotel was made exceptional form start to finish. I would do it all over again. The pricing could be better - less expensive.
