Saw that this location had pretty good reviews and decided to stay based on the reviews. Overall disappointed with my stay. Not very friendly staff, extremely thin walls could hear people above us stomping around their room all night and early in the morning. The room we stayed in was not the cleanest and we had 4 roaches total come out between the time we went to sleep and woke up in the morning. Brought the issue up to front desk and she made a lousy apology and didn’t even bother to make eye contact with me or look at my pictures. Completely disregarded me and gave me some lousy amount of points due to the issue. Didn’t bother to eat their free breakfast after that. If you stay here make sure to double check your things and don’t take the roaches home with you!

We now have stayed at this hotel x3 and when we walk in late night after a Hooks game, it feels like we are back home again. Love same staff greeting you. Says alot about the hotel. Location is great. If you are worried about distance to Corpus and to Port A its perfect. Either right to Corpus or Left to Port A. Great restaurants around the hotel and gas Location right down the street at Walmart. The rooms are very nice and roomy and so is bathroom/shower. Plenty of parking. The breakfast set up is cool. Air in room was comfortable and so were beds. Phone chargers at bedside. It doesn't have a pool but it does have a nice gym and access to bathrooms down in lobby if can't make it to your room.
Management is Terrible

We were accused of stealing a lamp and tried to work with staff and management to get it resolved. We were told that we should have reported it was missing even though we had no idea was supposed to be in the room to begin with. I highly recommend you do not waste your time on this hotel and find somewhere else.
A solid, no-frills good value for money hotel.

Second or third time I’ve stayed at this location. Good value and a good location with easy on and off major roads to get around the area. Hotel staff is friendly. The rooms are clean very good value.

The staff was friendly, and the location of the hotel was perfect for the activities I was attending in Portland. My room, specifically bathroom and floors were very dirty. The people above me were extremely loud and and jumped and stomped around every night. I requested to be on the top floor to avoid this, and the front desk representative told me I was on the top floor, but I was not. Hopefully they will provide some OT to their cleaning staff. Overall, I think this hotel would be very nice if the rooms were much cleaner. The price is very fair.

I recently stayed at Avid, and it was truly pleasant experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.

Had a great experience, breakfast was great and it was always being refilled. Coffee was amazing, the Costa machine grounded your coffee for every cup to ensure freshness and the vibe was great

The room was extremely humid the entire stay. The ac was trying to keep up but it was not working well. The floor was moist the entire time we were there. Also customer service was not good. I don't understand this at all. We pay for the room which in turn pays the employees salary because they work there. Work is the key word. We had 4 people in the room and you get 2 large towels. This makes no sense. I don't use a used towel at my house and don't expect to do it at a hotel. I went down to the lobby to ask for more towels and they told me that I needed to bring my used towels from the room to them first. If this is going to be the protocol, put a sign in the room saying that. Or when you check in, make it known at that point. The guy and girl that were just sitting on their butts behind the counter could have even offered to come up to the room with me to collect the used towels but that wasn't going to happen. I am sure they had more important things to do on their phones. Not the best experience and I stay in IHG chains alot.
Ok for a night.

We stayed for one night after our tournament finished hours later than expected. We were initially given keys to a dirty room. The desk clerk said this has been an issue recently with their system flagging dirty rooms as ready. He switched us to a new room and walked us up to make sure it was clean. After being in the room, we noticed the walls were pretty dirty both in the actual room and in the bathroom. Breakfast was basic IHG options without pancakes or waffles. Orange juice was watery.

We want to check in this and we spend like more than 25 minutes. They keep switching their homes because every floor was dirty and I was around chicken time so every room should be clean and ready for the people to check in the second floor. we went their room was dirty. The bed was done. The floor was dirty because someone was there and they didn’t clean it so we went back downstairs and we told him the room is dirty so they kept switching our room and we Waiting The room to be cleaned and after that we went there they cleaned the room but not really want to stay whatever just one night in the night the air conditioning day was so loud that we could sleep and also the noises from the floor above us when moving and also the hallways will listen to everything we cannot sleep
