Disappointed in cleanliness and quality

We went to visit our son for his birthday and stayed at the Avid Tulsa - Medical District location. Last time we were in town we stayed at their sister chain (Holiday Inn Express just a few blocks away) and we thought we would try this hotel because it saved us some money and in these times, saving some money is key.
The check-in was a breeze and the gentleman on staff that checked us in was very jovial and friendly and made us feel super welcome. We were there for 3 nights. First thing we noticed when walking into the lobby, there was an odor throughout possibly because it is a pet friendly hotel which I did not know ahead of time, probably because I did not even look at that.
We had never stayed at an Avid hotel so we did not know what to expect.
We were surprised at the small size of the room which was a King bed room. No carpet but it did have a nice vinyl plank. No microwave or coffee maker in room but did have a mini-fridge. Also no dressers or drawers, just a couple cube areas for shelves.
Nice large screen smart TV. The floating desk/counter area under the TV was pulled away from the wall (probably from someone leaning on it) at the top causing it to have a slight slant to it so when my wife was putting on her makeup and had things laying out on the counter, they would roll off in the floor.
Our bathroom sink was stopped up and would immediately back up and take forever to drain. The bathroom did not seem to be cleaned very well. There was pubic hair on the conditioner pump bottle in the shower. The shower floor was stained brown. The duvet cover on the bed had a black stain on it.
When you sat on the mattress, it felt like it was going to be uncomfortable but to our surprise it ended up being pretty nice and we ended up sleeping very well.
There was coffee, hot chocolate & tea available 24hr/day down in the lobby as well as light grab & go breakfast items in the mornings.
Overall it was just alright. Not sure if it was just our experience and just the room we got, but we would probably not stay here again.

The hotel is a good location. It was very quiet and of a good size. The beds were comfortable and the mini fridge was a nice touch. The breakfast options had a wider variety than the average.

Filth and bugs throughout the room. Don’t stay!

My family and I drove from Arizona to Oklahoma to visit our dying relative and checked in on Friday afternoon and we were slated to check out on Sunday morning for a total of two nights in the hotel. We didn’t get much time in our hotel room and really just slept there because we were visiting with our relative for the majority of the days. The first issue arose when we checked in and found hair on the freshly hung towels. No biggie, my husband asked for new ones later in the day when we got back from our visit. The next day there was a thunderstorm that came through which made our room very humid and as a result, every dog that ever stayed in that room began seeping out of the walls via a wet dog smell. Okay, we can put up with that. My husband and I are both veterans so we have a high threshold for adverse conditions. However, what pushed us over the edge was the morning of our checkout and hearing my daughter yell, “a cockroach!” I thought she was exaggerating, but sure enough I snapped a picture of not one but two roaches in the room and bathroom, along with an army of ants that were crawling on everything! The floor, my feet, even my daughters personal pillow from home. We were disgusted. I looked at the edge of the base of the bed and there was food, filth and fingernails. How disgusting. I brought it up to the front desk staff as soon as we found the bugs on everything and the woman at the front desk assured me I’d get a call the next day from the manager. Here I am back in Arizona, still waiting on the call that will probably never come. Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews of roaches and bed bugs and just pick a different place. Don’t stay here!

I did finally think of a negative. There are not plugs on both sides of the bed for people with cpaps

Pada malam check-in pertama (Okt.3) kendaraan yang diparkir, tuan-tuan yang memeriksa kami di luar bersama orang lain dan bertanya apakah kami akan check in atau tidak, EVEN kami baru saja check in di hotel 2jam sebelumnya, kemudian melihat apa yang dia hisap di tangannya bukanlah rokok tetapi ganja saat berseragam dan bertugas. Sejak saat itu saya tahu tempat ini tidak akan menjadi masa inap yang saya pernah alami sebelumnya. Menemukan seekor kecoa di kamar mandi pada pagi terakhir masa inap, lalu setelah meninggalkan kamar setelah check out dan memberi tahu Front Desk, menemukan kecoa lain sedang memanjat dinding. Ada dua orang bersama saya pada saat itu sebagai saksi (periksa kamera lorong pada pagi hari tanggal 5 Oktober, pukul 7:30-8) Staf menemani dan membunuh kecoa tersebut tetapi tidak pernah memberi tahu bagian pemeliharaan hotel atau apa pun. Usually I have at least one issue with something while staying at a hotel, after all it's not home, right? But staying here I was pleasantly surprised, the staff were very nice and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Plus it sits close to the main strip in the city that has everything you could possibly need.

I stay here for business every week. The location is great, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. If there have been any issues, they were resolved immediately.

I've stayed at many hotels in my life and consider myself a bit of a snob, especially when I'm dropping $150 to $500 or more/night. So I wasn't expecting a lot when I booked my room at Avid. I was about to be pleasantly surprised. When I arrived at the front desk, Michael greeted me like an old friend, providing me with great service along with fun conversation. And it wasn't just with me, he was that way with everyone! And it just got better. The room was so clean, the air conditioning actually worked, the shade actually kept the room dark and the bed was so comfortable. There was even an iron in the room! If all of the Avid hotels are like this, they will be my go-to when traveling. I highly recommend this hotel!

Breakfast was similar to that at a convenience store. I like the breakfast at the regular Holiday Inns much better.
