Just an okay hotel, not great by any means. My big problem is they have automatically activated lights in the bathrooms, when you walk in the light goes on even if you don't want it on and no override. During the middle of the night and nature calls, at this hotel you get blasted awake by the intense bathroom lights, not great I say! The light also flows out of the bathroom into the bedroom waking up your partner/spouse.

What a great new hotel out in the middle of nowhere where Texas. This boutique hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a very nice breakfast setup. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Saya mendengar orang-orang di atas saya berjalan-jalan… sepanjang waktu. Lantainya sangat tipis. Lampu kamar mandi sangat terang dan harus menutup sensor gerak karena lampu selalu menyala.

Avid has always been my choice of hotels when available. The hotel is clean and comfortable and I love the complimentary breakfast options each morning. The staff at the Van Horn hotel was top notch. The ladies that work so hard to prepare the breakfast options were so kind and I appreciated the conversations with them.

Neues Hotel mit sauberer Lobby. Die Mitarbeiterin am Check-in war nicht sehr motiviert. Das Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick sauber. Das Bad war oberflächlich sauber. Die Ablagen unter Waschbecken wurden offensichtlich nicht überprüft. Dann wäre nämlich aufgfallen, dass der Föhn nicht funktioniert und wohl ein früherer Gast sein xxx-toy vergessen hatte. EKELHAFT! Beim Check-out hat sich die Mitarbeiterin für diesen Fauxpass entschuldigt und mir als Entschädigung eine zusätzliche Punktegutschrift versprochen. Leider habe ich die zusätzlichen Punkte immer noch nicht erhalten.....

There were no water glasses in the room. There was no coffee maker in the room nor was there a microwave. The only ice machine was near the front desk. The elevators had label-maker 10-digit phone numbers for emergency service. What's wrong with 911, etc. There was no hot breakfast available. The room was all solid surface materials with only hooks and cubes for clothing storage. No closet or drawers and very noisy.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice cold ac, nice soft beds and very clean room. Service was excellent and there were plenty of towels. The windows had nice dark curtains so it was hard waking up. I was impressed with how clean my room was and I highly recommend this hotel.

1. Advertised rate for pet fee was $25. Upon check out I was told that cats were $45. This is NOT what was posted, and there was no asterisk or fine print. It says “furry friends are welcome for $25 pet fee.” I discussed with the manager and was told they would adjust the charges and email me a new receipt. 24 hours later there was no email or charge back to my credit card.
2. No microwave in room.
3. Bathroom lights are on a motion detector. That’s fine, except the shower isn’t covered by the motion sensors. The light kept turning off while I was in the shower. Waving arms didn’t do anything. I had to yell for someone to come turn them on for me.
4. Avid Website says check out is 12:00. We were driving across country and checked in around 10:30 pm and needed the extra hour of sleep. At 11:00 am housekeeping was banging on the door telling us it was checkout time.
5. Stream/casting to TV did not work. QR code led to spam emails but the TV would not connect to stream.

It appears this hotel is for the business, on-the-go, traveler and not the leisure traveler. It is also not geared toward the elderly or handicapped. The handicap room I was given was on the top floor at the end of the hall...the furthest from the elevator. There is no coffee maker or microwave in the room but there is a steam iron and a safe! I doubt these are used very often. There is not a glass in the room...not even a plastic glass in the bathroom to rinse after brushing. There is an additional shower fixture on the side wall of the shower but there is no bench. Without a bench there side wall fixture and the low grab bars are useless. Streamlining for Prime never did connect. It just kept buffering. The breakfast provided was not worth eating. Brown bananas and muffins placed in ziplock bags rather than individually wrapped.
