Not the worst stay, but wouldn't repeat

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff, when we saw them, were nice. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. There was no hot water and when we tried to let staff know about the issue, there was no one to be found.

Great value for money! Clean, modern, comfortable bed. Everything was great! Breakfast was basic but adequate.

Since the rates were so reasonable, the hotel far exceeded our expectations. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The breakfast had a lot of variety, and there were both cold and hot choices. The bed was comfortable, and the room was exceptionally clean. I would recommend this to anyone.

Pretty good, but not great

Our room was pretty good.

The bathroom sink just trickled out and would not get at all hot. The water in the shower was fine, so I expect the sink itself was the problem.

Breakfast was disappointing compared to other IHG hotels we had stayed at.

We asked for an extra pillow which never arrived.

And even though I got the room "free" with points, I see a $20 and a $30+ charge on my credit card, which I don't understand because other stays at IHG hotels using points have not incurred any charges.

Other than that the hotel was fine. All in all, I'd give it a B- or C+.

The Avid properties have a European feel to them. The rooms are somewhat minimalist but they are quiet. I’ve stayed at this property in the past and there are some minor maintenance issues they need to start attending to (loose drywall tape on the ceiling in the bathroom) but they are still minor. The breakfast bar is well stocked including fresh fruit.

After looking at the pictures of the rooms, I gave this a try. It was perfect. More modern. Clean. No carpeted floors. Comfortable. Quiet. Nothing lacking. Great experience. So much so that my next stay in Lexington KY was also one of these. Bravo IHG.

Very nice location and all over very good stay. Need to provide better pillows and attention to details. But still a very comfortable and convenient stay.
