I have been staying in Macon monthly for business for the past 3 years.
I have always stayed at one of the major chains down the street from the Avid even though the Avid is significantly less expensive. I was under the impression that the cheaper price means less quality. I was totally wrong. I decided to take a chance on Avid due to increased pressure to cut budget expenses. Upon entering the hotel I was greeted promptly by the person at the check in desk and she made me feel very welcome. As a traveling salesman spending 3-4 nights a week in hotels ,I can tell you this was refreshing especially my first time staying here. She proceeded to ask me how my day was going and if I needed anything to make my stay better. Wow,I never get that.
I looked around the lobby and everything looked and smelled fresh and new so I asked how long they have been at this location and to my surprise she said 3 years. The room was very clean and fresh as well.
Upon checkout I was greeted by a different lady, (possibly the manager) and she was just as kind and welcoming as the other lady. I kind of regret sharing this review as I don't want them to be full the next time I am in town.
This is definitely my new hotel to stay at in Macon.
Its very hard to find a place that checks all the marks on price, cleanliness, and welcoming staff.

This property is located in a convenient entry and exit area of town. There are many dining options and shops nearby. The hotel is new and well kept. The staff is welcoming and available. However, we did have an issue with the maid service that was not addressed. The evening staff did their best to rectify. We would stay here again.

Let me start this off with saying that the staff here is wonderful. Every single one of the ladies here offers a kind welcome, whether they are at the front desk, housekeeping, or breakfast, every single one was kind. The woman serving the breakfast area got a bag for me and my toddler so we could take our breakfast to our room. She helped pour drinks while I had my hands full with my daughter. Truly wonderful! The woman at the front desk was pleasant and welcoming and so kind to my little one. We felt very safe here. It was clean, everything was functional. The only downside was the next morning when I needed to take 2 trips out to the car with all our things, but the key stopped working an hour before checkout. If checkout is 11, then my key needs to work until 11, not cut off at 10a. The only way the room itself could improve is by using soft lighting by the bed instead of super bright lights--no one wants to be blinded first thing in the morning.

I am just totally disappointed in the lack of quality and caring for the comfort and safety of your customers in an age of COVID while we are sleeping on filthy used and possibly deceased linen!!!
The Staff is HELPFUL & FRIENDLY!

I had a concern and the Housekeeping Manager and the room attendant (we called her Lil mama [even though we were not her room assignment]) went above and beyond to assist me and my husband. Both were prompt and efficient.The entire were Staff is HELPFUL & FRIENDLY, which is rare these days.

My company had 3 rooms here for a convention we were attending in Macon. Clean hotel, friendly staff, good variety at breakfast, good parking, easy to find, highly recommend!

Outstanding Stay at Avid Hotel in Macon!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Avid Hotel in Macon, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish!
Upon arrival, the hotel staff was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making the check-in process smooth and quick. The lobby is modern and stylish, with a clean and fresh ambiance that immediately made me feel at ease.
The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. I particularly loved the comfortable bed and the high-quality linens, which ensured a restful night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent — I couldn’t hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, which made for a peaceful and quiet stay.
The hotel offers various amenities, including a complimentary breakfast bar with a great selection of healthy and tasty options. The coffee station in the lobby was a bonus—perfect for that morning pick-me-up!
Location-wise, the hotel is ideally situated, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and major highways, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers.
Overall, my stay at the Avid Hotel in Macon was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and modern hotel experience. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to the area!

I loved the location of hotel, great value, clean, friendly and i really liked a walk in shower over the typical tub/shower combo in most hotels. It was a great place to stay.

The hotel itself is nice. The problem we had with the stay was the shower in the bathroom was not cleaned at all. Not only was there hair in there but there were stains. It was too late to call housekeeping so I cleaned it myself before taking a shower. There was also a bug on the ceiling in the bathroom. The tv remote wasn’t working either. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive
