Great family room with 2 xl beds . Children were welcome and felt comfortable. No noise heard from other rooms. Breakfast was great with the children,lots of choice and friendly staff to help if required. Nice lounge area to sit with children .we found parking in front of hotel and paid in the hotel.
Fridge in room is helpful. Spacious shower. Lift to all floors .hotel close to all local attractions.

We had a great stay. Our room was spacious clean and very comfotable. Breakfast was wonderful with a great choice . We had drinks in the lounge area which was very comfortable and relaxing .we didnt have dinner this time . There are lifts and disabled toilets . Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Children were made very welcome. Tea coffee hot chocolate water and biscuits in the room. Mini fridge in room. The hotel is close to sea,theatre and shops .

Very much enjoyed this stay. Hotel rooms were modern and very clean and the location was wonderful for walking the beach and going to the nearby playground with the kiddos.

Stayed on business last week. Car park charge was £8 for 24hrs which I didn't mind paying at all BUT it would have been nice to warned of this.
Lovely welcome, check in was quick and welcoming. I was given room 308 which had a nice sea view and was very clean, it looked like it's been recently refurbished. Walk in shower was fab, hot water and powerful enough! Water was provided in the in room mini fridge. I had dinner in the evening at MPW ànd my steak was delicious and the service again was perfect. Went to the main bar for an evening drink after dinner and service was again prompt and atmosphere was warm and welcome.
Had a super night's sleep as I found the bed extremely comfortable.
Breakfast in the morning was very good, it's a buffet style breakfast, everything was hot and tasted good. They only do scrambled egg which I can only assume is due to being a buffet type breakfast. They also had plenty of cold offerings for breakfast and an excellent choice of 'More Healthy' options.
Check out was simple and straight forward. I will stay again when next on business in the area!

What a wonderful stay we had at Voco or The Clifton as I have always known it. It has certainly changed a lot in 30 years! Absolutely stunning rooms, incredibly comfy beds, excellent facilities and delicious breakfast! Thanks

Brilliant stay. It was our birthday and when we mentioned this to staff they pulled out all the stops to make it more memorable.

The new Voco in Folkestone is a great place to stay. We stayed for a date night. Room was very large and the bathroom was so big. Staff Re so helpful and we loved the cocktails.

This Victorian property has had a wonderful makeover and stands as a great landmark when visiting the South East coast. With great views over the Channel and close proximity to the Zig Zag path, it’s ideally located for anyone visiting the area. The breakfast is wonderful and has lovely views into the garden square.
Only downside is the wi-fi isn’t great…very intermittent. Also when facing the sea, noise from the locals could get a bit annoying. I visited in early spring on a dry evening. If it was a busy summer night with the front downstairs patio open, I am not sure how well I would have slept.
But to finish on a positive note, my room was very spacious and the marble bathroom gave the experience a great feeling of luxury.

Had a 2 day stay here and can’t fault anything. Hotel and room were immaculate. Staff were friendly and helpful (especially at breakfast).

Checked in and was told my “pet” was not allowed. I showed the documentation proving that my 3.5kg tiny dog was a Medical Alert dog and the receptionist was very kind and even upgraded us from a cosy double to a Premium King which was lovely of him.
The restaurant was however not so friendly, tried to seat us away in the corner and threw us filthy looks the whole time we were there. In retrospect I wish we had gone elsewhere as the food was awful! The “grilled” camembert had obviously been done in the microwave and the fish and chips were disgusting, a really thick nasty skin left on the fish and the chips were dry. Didn’t eat more than two mouth fulls of the fish and chips and the waiter said nothing when she collected the plate.
On top of that, they automatically add a tip to the bill which is an awful trend in the UK! I told them to remove it. I’m never going to be forced to tip and if I do, it would be for good service and good food, neither of which I received.
Breakfast was just as awful!
Bed had a very lumpy mattress topper that caused me to have a terrible night tossing and turning.
All in all, never again!
