When I arrived at the hotel, the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. I also found that the price was higher than what I was quoted during booking. No clear explanation was given, and I felt misled.
They were dismissive and didn’t offer any solution. They said the price had changed, but it wasn’t mentioned before.
Be honest and transparent about pricing, and train staff to be more polite and helpful.

This was my second time to stay at this location. I love this hotel. I will no linger be traveling down that way as my grandson left the base there and is now stationed in North Carolina. I would recommend staying here to all. The staff is amazing, the room are clean and it's walking distance to the river walk.
Poor quality, worst mattresses ever.

The hotel is going through renovations and we knew that. That was not the problem. The mattresses were so worn out we could hear the springs. Got very little sleep.

The room was comfortable, the staff was great, and the food was great. It was within walking distance of many places. The complimentary breakfast is usually good at the Holiday Inn, but it was perfect here. They never ran out of food, even when the dining room was packed. I was able to walk to the Alamo, the Alamodome, the RiverWalk and some restaurants,

stayed for a week during the 2025 Men's Final Four. Walking distance to all Final Four venues. Clean rooms, great and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Free Parking. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Once my husband and I checked in, the staff was very hospitable. We were given routes to the Riverwalk, restaurant ideas, and good conversation in general. When we visit San Antonio again, we will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. I’ve stayed at this location before without any issues, but this time was a complete letdown.
I booked my room through the IHG Travel Advisor site, and booked for a client, where I found what I thought was a good rate under the “best available rate.” After receiving my confirmation, I thought everything was set. However, when I went to check-in, my card was charged again, causing it to be flagged. My friend ended up using her card, but when we looked at the charges, the total was $50 more than what I was originally quoted. This is a major concern because had I booked this for a client, they would have been hit with an unexpected charge.
When I asked the desk clerk for an explanation, they claimed the hotel charges a $50 fee for incidentals, even though my confirmation clearly stated it would be a $25 charge, already included in the total. This was incredibly frustrating, as I was not informed of the discrepancy.
Additionally, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work, making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. To top it off, the housekeeping staff began working very early in the morning, and their supply closet was extremely close to our room. They were loudly yelling down the hall, which was extremely disrespectful to guests trying to sleep.
All in all, I am very disappointed with this stay and will not be returning. I won’t be booking any future stays with IHG properties, nor will I recommend them to clients. The lack of communication, unaddressed issues, and the failure to honor my confirmed rate left me feeling completely let down.

Great clean Hotel. I stayed here about 13 yrs ago when I went for a GEC class. I had a great stay then as I did this time. The room was clean breakfast was fully stocked and had good choices. I didn’t get the young man’s name that checked me in, I do want to say he was very friendly and I appreciated that very much!! He has great customer service skills and delivered on the IHG True Hospitality!!

Od zameldowania do wymeldowania było świetne. Łóżka były wygodne, śniadanie było świetne, personel był przyjazny. Jedyną rzeczą była nieszczelność w łazience. . Recepcja zaproponowała, że ktoś nas posprząta, ale odmówiłem.

Na pewno zatrzymam się ponownie w Holiday Inn Express and Suites w centrum San Antonio Rivercenter. Blisko wszystkiego, co chcesz zobaczyć i zrobić. Niedrogie, a personel był niesamowity. Pozwolili mi nawet obejrzeć pokój przed dokonaniem rezerwacji, dali mi pierwsze piętro, o które prosiłem, i przenieśli mnie bez pytania. Pani z recepcji była bardzo przyjazna i miała obsługę z uśmiechem. Dziękuję.
