Awesome Hotel Close to Airport!

This was my second stay at an Avid Hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint! The room was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Even though it's close to the airport, it doesn’t have that typical "airport hotel" feel—it's much nicer than that! I’ll definitely stay here again.

Overall very nice hotel. Great location. Breakfast was good, could be improved with pancakes and other food offered from other IHG hotels.

It was a great stay at avid! It was peaceful and the check-in was easy! The room was nice, they have comfortable bed and the bathroom was in prestine condition. Overall it was a wonderful stay. It made me well rested before my graduation day!

As I entered the hotel, I could not see a clerk but there was a young man who obviously did not work there sitting right outside the desk area staring at me which made me feel uncomfortable. When I got closer to the desk, the clerk appeared from around the corner where he had been sitting socializing with this young man. The appearance and demeanor of the visiting friend and the appearance of the clerk did not give me great confidence in the safety of the area. Had I been traveling alone, I would not have felt comfortable sleeping there. The clerk's behavior was professional enough and we had no problems with our stay, but that first impression was not one that I like to see when entering a hotel in a city that I'm not familiar with.

Unfortunately, my experience at your property was extremely disappointing due to both poor customer service and an excessive cleaning fee of $250—more than the cost of my entire 3-night stay, which totaled approximately $212.07 ($70.69 per night).
On the first night of my stay, I became unexpectedly ill around 12:30 a.m. and vomited near the bed. When I attempted to contact the front desk for assistance:
1. The landline phone in the room was not working—there was no dial tone, and pressing the front desk button produced no response.
2. While I was attempting to call the front desk on my cell phone, a staff member came to the door. He was an older man who appeared to have a health condition (possibly COPD), and his attitude was dismissive and unhelpful.
3. After explaining the situation, instead of offering meaningful help, he asked if I had cleaned up the mess myself and whether any vomit was on the bedding. His only suggestion was to bring me a mop.
4. I requested to switch rooms, which he agreed to do, but he did not mention any cleaning fee at the time—much less one that would exceed $250.
5. On the morning of my departure, I needed the 5 a.m. airport shuttle. The same staff member drove the shuttle but offered no greeting, acknowledgment, or concern for my well-being. His attitude remained cold and impersonal.
To make matters worse, the front desk staff throughout my stay were consistently unfriendly, and their presentation was concerningly unprofessional.
I researched hotel policies regarding cleaning fees due to illness, and while I understand that additional fees may apply, there is usually transparency and reasonable discretion in how they are applied. In this case, a $250 charge for a single incident, with no warning or documentation, feels excessive and unfair—especially when it equals or exceeds the cost of the entire booking.
I am therefore requesting a refund of $200 to account for the unreasonable cleaning charge and the poor service received during my stay. I hope you will take this opportunity to make things right and to revisit your policies and staff training for the benefit of future guests.
Small but clean

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Had not previous stayed at an Avid hotel. Rooms are smaller than average hotel so I would not recommend if you are travelling with a lot of luggage. Beware of burnt toast in the morning as we were startled awake by the fire alarm going off because someone burnt their morning toast at breakfast.

This AVID was clean with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It was perfect for dropping my rental the night before my flight home and getting a shuttle both ways. Numerous restaurants available and the bed was comfortable. Avid is perfect for a one or two night stay and this one was excellent!

Super convenient to airport and rental car pickup center! Perfect for getting a rest and good little breakfast before traveling further! Ohh and the shower had the best water pressure!!

Very professional, friendly staff at the front desk and running the airport shuttle. Everyone I encountered was helpful. The room was very comfortable and more than satisfactory for my one night stay. The breakfast was good and offered a variety of decent options.

Like new hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. The location near the airport was great and very quiet . Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had enough choices from fresh scrambled eggs, crunchy bacon to yogurt and fruit. I will be staying here on all future service trips. The free 24 hour shuttle to the airport was a nice touch. Oh and did I mention bacon?
