I was rudely awakened by my room's fire alarm at 2 AM! I have stayed in thousands of hotel rooms over the years and have NEVER had such an experience. When I made my way down to the Front Desk the receptionist told me that "steam set it off in another room on a separate floor so that is why my alarm 'may' have been triggered also." NOT COOL!

My recent stay at this hotel was not as comfortable as I had hoped. I was placed in a handicap-accessible room on the 4th floor, which I did not require. This raised some safety concerns—especially when the fire alarm sounded at 2 a.m. In an actual emergency, this setup could be problematic.
The room itself felt dated, with worn carpet, torn furniture, and a lack of USB ports or modern charging options. Breakfast was also disappointing: the waffle maker was broken, the coffee ran out quickly, and the staff didn’t seem attentive to addressing guest concerns or replenishing items.
On a positive note, we had a great time with ample space for our families to meet together in the lobby. However, the overall experience would benefit from updates to the rooms, more attentive service at the front desk and breakfast, and better planning for accessibility and safety. With improvements in these areas, the hotel could provide a much more comfortable and reliable stay.

Like I mentioned, the lobby didn't need Halloween decorations because this hotel was scary enough. The rooms and hallways were so creepy, I have never seen an IHG property that was in this state. Years of stains accumulated on the walls and carpets. The couch in our room looked haunted. The rooms themselves look like they were designed in the 70s, it is desperately asking to be renovated or be put out of its misery. This place was an absolute dump. The staff matched the hotel perfectly, the systems were down so they were manually checking people in. There were about 7 or 8 people waiting to check in and the lady at the front desk went outside to smoke and never came back. I kind of get it but also, come on.

I was very disappointed in this Staybridge visit. Our room was dirty and the property in general is showing wear. The breakfast area was out of almost everything when I arrived (they were even totally out of coffee).

Great experience! it was a pleasant suprise to have dinner as well as breakfast. the rooms were very large and spacious. full kitchen with dishwasher. full laundry room was nice and the kiddos had fun in the pool.

My wife and I stayed at Staybridge Suites in Royersford, PA, from August 1st through 31st, 2025. We were originally assigned to Room 307. We were disappointed by the appearance of the room, as it looked old and in need of a makeover. The upholstery of the sofa was worn out and stained, the bathtub stopper was out in the corner of the tub, the TV had limited channels, and the WIFI frequently disconnected. Also, during our stay we had to frequently have our door key-card reset--this was one problem that was resolved in the third week of our stay, as the door locks throughout the hotel were updated. Unfortunately, after the new door lock was installed, there were wood shavings left on the carpet of our room. Walking around the hotel, we saw in the breakfast buffet area a waffle maker that had a sign taped on stating, "Temporarily Out of Order." While that was disappointing, I assumed (incorrectly) that it would be repaired within a few days--at the end of our stay, it STILL was out of order. On the second day of our stay, that sign had been removed, but the machine still was out of order, and the next day it was moved to the other side of the room but remained out of order. Also, on our 2nd day we were told that the breakfast buffet would be opening late because the person who sets it up was out sick. On the 3rd day, I decided to get orange juice--the juice machine dispensed a liquid that had a pale orange color--I tasted the juice, and it tasted like water. I poured it out and tried the apple juice--that also tasted like water. A few minutes later, I observed a hotel employee taking the juice machine apart to repair it. Next day, I returned to the machine, saw no "out of order" sign, so I assumed it was fixed...NOT!!! Same problem--the orange juice still had the pale orange color and still tasted like water! I decided to drink Diet Coke from the soda machine, but the soda dispensed from that machine was totally flat! I then decided to get a bagel to eat and looked for a knife to spread cream cheese on the bagel. There were spoons and forks, but the container labeled "knives" was completely empty. I saw another hotel guest go into the adjoining kitchen to ask the kitchen employee for a knife, and he was given a knife, so I then did the same. Next day, still no knives! On the following day, I found that the "knives" container was filled with plastic knives. I am not a coffee drinker, but my wife told me that the coffee was the worst she ever had, so she went across the street to the Wawa to get coffee when she needed it.
The worst part of our stay at this hotel was that after 1 week I developed rashes on the back of both legs, making me very itchy. I treated the rashes with Benadryl lotion and tablets, and within a week they healed. But a few days after I developed my rashes, my wife broke out in rashes on her back, legs, neck, left wrist and left hand, which became very swollen. I had to drive her to an urgent care center, where the doctor prescribed a prednisone z-pack, which subsequently successfully treated her rashes. We believe that our rashes were the result of bedbug bites. Although we did not see the bedbugs (they are very tiny), my wife did see a roach crawling up the wall in the shower, which she killed.
We reported the bedbug issue to the front desk, and the person manning the front desk moved us to a different room--Room 215. The bathroom door in our first room (307) was difficult to close, and when you open the door it makes a very loud noise. The bathroom door in Room 215 is even worse--I unsuccessfully tried to push it closed. I probably could have closed it if I put all my weight behind my push, but didn't bother, as I worried that I might not be able to get it open again!
We also observed that the floors in the breakfast area were generally sticky, even after being washed; carpets were dirty; the laundry facilities were dirty and gross with half the machines being out of order; and the fitness center had only 1 out of 3 treadmills in working order.
We were so disappointed that my wife telephoned IHG's customer care department after we returned home to complain to an agent about our experience at Staybridge Suites in greater detail. Before we left the hotel, my wife asked the front desk person for contact information for the hotel manager, but was told that he didn't have the manager's phone number, and didn't have her business cards. Later on, he called us and told us that the manager credited our account for one week because of our bedbug ordeal. We appreciated this gesture, but this hotel needs a lot of work to be done to attract us back. It's unfortunate, as it is conveniently located for us to visit our children (we live out of state).

Staff is friendly and accommodating, seems short staffed which caused the breakfast to be cold more than not, One day no one made coffee for the morning. The rooms are decent, some kind of remodeling going on but was unobtrusive. Location is satisfactory with stores and restaurants close by.

Saving grace of this hotel is the staff. Hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Constantly running toilet disturbed my mom's sleep. Sleeper sofa unsleepable my sister slept in the car. We needed the handicapped room so moving to another room wasn't an option.
