Great Stay

Had a nice stay, thanks to all excellent people, especially Winnie from Housekeeping, she managed to send me my preferred pillow right away as those are not in the room upon arrival like before.

Home sweet home service

in 2021, i had reversed the room package and stayed for 1 night with my girlfriend.

after a year in 2022, me and i came here again to celebrate our 1st anniversary. its so surprising that we had been served by same staff, Diana to handle my check in. We initially felt familiar to each other when met.. but finally i have asked and confirmed that Diana was the same person serving me during 2021 stay. It was so happy and very meaningful which likely Diana has witnessed my love story and celebration with my beloved.

And she were also pleased and friendly to chat with us during the check in time. i was so happy and like chatting with one old friend who didnt meet for long time. (no exaggerating).

for finally she gave us a little gift, and little upgrade for us to complete our anniversary,
Her kindness is so real and treated us like friend. This is all priceless and always let me to evocative. 100marks to Diana.

but not least, Diana also did well in 2021 which i firstly stayed in here, however i didnt leave my review to share. Haha

Hope she is doing well and all the best too.

Very average stay here - room smelt of smoke, no breakfast included, very few amenities. Asked for a double room, got a twin and was told there were no doubles available. Very poor quality for what we paid.

Good Customer service but not Customer experience

Before I visit intercontinental, I have contacted the reservation department for special remarks. Sammi was doing great. However, when I checked in, the anniversary treats wasn't placed.

High-quality customer service by creating an emotional connection with us is important. For example, the welcome drink could only enjoy in the lobby lounge before 6 pm. Since we left the hotel early and checked in late. Therefore I have asked would it be OK if send the welcome drink to the room instead of waiting until the next day at 12. The answer was a big NO from the reception. The welcome drinks don't cost much but the customer experience costs much for sure.

Unflexible Counter Staff

Given the illogical fact that the hotel own bars and restaurants have to close at 6pm, its not understandable that 'Welcome Drink Voucher' cannot be settled at the final invoice even the drink(here: coffee) has been exactly at the place the voucher was valid for,

Scanning at the entry and 10m away at the lobby bar is another disturbing fact which could be done better.

Apart from that the stay was convinient,

Another excellent stay

It was another excellent stay for my family, the room assigned this time was half harbour view suite with a very nice bathtub.
Due to restriction policy, we had in room dining and it was wonderful as always, the hainan chicken was the best. There was a problem in TV but the engineer fixed it professionally.
Thank you very much for the great team from Intercongshk especialy the help from Mimi and the engineering team.

Another great stay

As always we had another great stay at the Intercon GS. Even from the point of booking our stay we are looked after, with the hotel helping to organise the booking and guiding us through the best choice of room packages available to us as members.

The room was extremely clean, when staying in other hotels in HK there are often areas that get overlooked with cleaning, these are always spotless at the IGS. Furthermore we are greeted so kindly by the cleaning staff, always friendly and remember us from previous stays. Must say thank you to Winnie and Eva working the 17th floor.

Covid restrictions were back in force so we were unable to use the bar or club lounge. The hotel very kindly sent a tea set up to the room, gave us money off the in room drinks and vouchers for money off of in room dining. Thanks again to Mr Lars for sorting this!

We were able to use the club lounge for afternoon tea, must thank Raph, Trixie, Kaylie and Bonnie for looking after us.

Breakfast was as good as ever (even with the restrictions) the staff all looked after us so kindly, remembering all the food we like and ensuring it was made available to us, the Chefs, Geraldine, Diana, Alex and the crew were wonderful.

And a final thank you to Mr John, Mr Lars and Mimi for ensuring the stay was flawless. Even as busy as they are, they always make a point to stop and have a chat when possible.

We look so forward to our next stay.

One Weekend Getaway

It's been quite long time that I haven’t stayed for hotels due to COVID-19 restrictions. Now it’s the time of seasonal’s festival, I chose a weekend to make a getaway and enjoy a bit.

During this stay, I found some changes of the hotel. For the good side, the food selections were much better than I encountered last time in Club Lounge. Not only the afternoon tea, but also the evening’s happy hour. I noticed that the distinct improvement was making efforts to provide delicate fresh bakery. On the other side, I realized that the hotel changed the brand and set of personal wash supplies like a family set. But I prefer the hotel can also provide a portable set, cause guests can take them away for a traveling use or a souvenir.

I have to mention some service need to be improved. Maybe it’s busy season, the room service like daily turn down service and refilling daily fruits for an ambassador member need to be improved. Especially the club floor rooms, that’s should be took care carefully.

房間安排出問題

一定是前台安排房間出問題!或係嚴重賣房!憑什麼六點才可以安排我入房,但係延遲退房只可以去到一點!結果一家大小要去邊度?本人已經避免兩點至三點人多時候check-in,四點過來告訴我沒有房間安排!要等到六點才有電話通知可入房!住過香港這麼多酒店,這是最差安排的一間!一肚氣
